Accidents at gun shows Saturday left four people injured and many people scrambling. The incidents happened at two separate gun shows, one in North Carolina and the other in Indiana. CNN shared the details Jan. 19.
According to CNN, three people were injured in an accident at a gun show in Wilmington, N.C. when a man was unfastening his shotgun case on a table and the gun discharged. He had brought the gun in hopes of selling it at the show. The bird shot from the shotgun injured three people, including a sheriff's deputy. A woman was taken to the hospital for a torso wound, and a man had an injured left hand.
An accident at a gun show in Indiana occurred in Indianapolis when a man was loading his .45-caliber semi-automatic firearm as he left the show. He shot himself in the hand and was taken to the hospital. No charges will be filed in the Indiana incident, while authorities are still deciding in regards to the North Carolina incident.
Luckily nobody was seriously injured in the accidents at gun shows Saturday. The Wilmington show was shut down for the rest of the day, but will reopen on Sunday.
