Accepted submissions

Hi, I am a new member and submitted three stories about a week ago. They are still listed as pending, and I have had no response from the "acceptors" on how long it will take, or why it has taken so long. Who do I contact to find out why it has taken so long?

The usual wait time is 3-7 days, leaning toward the seven end. For a first-timer, it often takes a day or two more.

The stories start posting at midnight EST, but often only a portion of the day's stories go up then. They may not all post until pushing noon EST.

You should be close to seeing a decision on your stories by the moderators if you put them in the queue a week ago.

Depends on what format you posted them as well.

Submitting as an attachment can take a little longer than if you just cut'n'paste into the box.

I've been posting for nearly two years myself--a story every two days. And I have stories submitted more a week ago that haven't posted yet, either. Plan on at least a week to post, I've learned--but I've only once had one overlooked, so this doesn't happen often.

Another point that can add to the posting waiting period is if you have opened the stories while they were pending. This may drop them to the bottom of the queue again.
