I rashly submitted four sections of an eventual 6 or 7 section storyline in the Loving Wives category without editing help. What a disaster. I was pilloried and praised, trashed and well advised.

Although the storyline is really about a very committed and loving married couple, it also deals with kink, degradation, filthy talk, cuckoldery, bisex, crossdressing, and cum munching. Thus, the anti-cuck nazis in the Loving Wives category came after me with a vengeance. So, I deleted my four submissions and decided to redo everything from scratch. I now have a new username.

I originally edited for spelling/grammar thoroughly, but, in an inexperienced effort to make the story as hot and furious as possible, I committed many errors of over-enthusiasm such as excessive descriptors in the dialogs, and other errors of exuberance.

I would love to find an editor who is comfortable with this type of content, has the the experience to guide me (I don't want to be coddled) through the pitfalls of Literotica politics, and willing to help me with my lack of storytelling polish.

You're going to get trashed in Loving Wives anyway. Maybe you should separate out what seems legitimate as editorial issues before hyperventilating on that being a major issue in being trashed there. Your stories there are going to be trashed regardless.

Thanks, sr71plt. Yeah, looks like my storyline tags aren't going to go unpunished, and I can live with that. Maybe Group Sex, as a category?

And, how do I find an experienced editor to help with my style deficiencies? There are currently 586 pages of editors going back more than a decade, without any indication of who is currently active. Do I just contact a slew of them, a few of them, or one at a time?

Advertising for one right here, as you've done, is one approach. There's a sticky up top on editors noting availability by month. You could contact one of those for recent months. You also could read stories like yours and pitch a "second eyes" trade with someone whose stories are like what you like to write. You don't just self-declare as an editor and you're good to go with someone else's "baby" (well, they do here--it just isn't legitimate and usually doesn't get you a trained editor), and a second-pair-of-eyes reader will get most of what you need done for posting at Literotica. I got my editor through this "I scratch your back/you scratch mine" exchange with a writer with similar stories and styles to most of mine, and it's working out fine.

As noted on another thread--and which comes up a couple of times a month when someone gets frustrated at trying to use the broken VE system here and comes to the forum to complain about it--using the VE system can easily lead to frustration, not getting anything published here for years, and/or getting someone who doesn't know anything more about how to edit than you do.

I quess that I just wasn't enough. No one wanted to touch my cum guzzling husband thing. It is fantasy, it is just about an imagination that runs wild. Oh, well, I will deal with it, just didn't think that I would have to deal with people's fears.

I will back off, sorry that I trampled on people's innermost desires, they are certainly sacrosanct.
