for the sake
of my mind,
betraying
my vibe
for the touch
of my muse
on a minute
by minute
sugar rush,
cutting my soul,
flogging my flow
and whipping
the fleeing insects
of influence
and inspiration
into a stinging frenzy
to keep me
awake
to keep me
alert, alive, aware
crisp, crazy, creative


That's what I'll be doing this moth, flogging a novel out of me from 0 to 50000 words for 28 more days. So I cut down on the fine-tuned wordsmithing for a while.
