Good evening to everyone! :)

I am new in this forum. Not long ago, a woman named Soulfire posted a question in here that I have been asking myself many times in the last months. Sadly though, it seems like all the answers she got were given on pm which doesn't enlighten me much...

She was wondering why so many people involved into D/S also seem to be into S/M. Although bondage or spanking are things I'd like to do, the simple idea of pain sends cold shivers down my back and not in a good way.

From what I have read so far about D/S, I have come to the conclusion that Dominant men who are not into S/M are not that common. I have to be honest and admit I have never experienced a D/S relationship for real so it might only be an impression.

I would really like to get people's opinion on that issue.

Leliana :)

You'll find the more people you meet that there are all different flavors of BDSM....
It's a very broad term covering many different types of people.
Some people on both sides of the whip are excited by more pain, some not as much....
Strictly speaking D/s and S/M do not have to be related...
Not everyone of us has a strong sadistic streak......
Not every sub want serious pain.........
You just have to search until you find someone with the same kinks as you have......
And learn all the time you look..
