George Floyd Statues

• Newark, New Jersey: A 700-pound bronze statue, sculpted by Stanley Watts and commissioned by Leon Pinkney, was placed in front of City Hall in June 2021.
• Brooklyn/Manhattan, New York: A 6-foot-tall bust created by Chris Carnabuci was unveiled at Flatbush Junction for Juneteenth 2021 before moving to Union Square.
• Vandalism: Both the Newark and Brooklyn statues were vandalized shortly after their unveiling in 2021.

Significant Murals and Memorials

• Minneapolis, Minnesota: The intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue (George Floyd Square) features multiple murals, including a prominent blue and yellow tribute on the side of the Cup Foods building.
