Aboard the "Dark Lady" - an OCC

Well, friends and fellow writers, I am now ready to try an OCC myself. I truly hope that several of you will join in this quest.

The story is about an 18 year old young lady named Kaitlyn Adams. Her parents perished some years ago in a fire, and she has been under the guardianship of her Uncle Hiram for the past 4 years. Kaitlyn is a lovely and innocent young woman, very petite, standing 5'4", with raven locks falling to her waist, an unblemished complexion, and sapphire blue eyes fringed with long lashes. She has been schooled and is very intelligent, as well as musically talented both with her voice and her abilities on the lute, piano and harp. She is a gentle soul, but headstrong, and has butted heads with her Uncle Hiram quite a few times.

Kaitlyn has been planning to continue with her education, but unbeknowst to her, Uncle Hiram has other plans. He had intended to betroth her as soon as possible to a wealthy suitor, regardless of the man's character, and has now found a man he deems wealthy enough to support him in his later years. The man he has picked is coldly handsome, ruthless in business, and has no softness about him at all. His name is Edgar Rathbone, and as soon as he set eyes upon Kaitlyn, he was determined to have her. He considers women possessions, and enjoys torturing them both in and out of the bedroom.

Upon being introduced to Edgar, Kaitlyn could not stand him, and refused to see him again, particularly after he made improper advances to her. When Uncle Hiram informed her that she would be wed to him, Kaitlyn flew into a rage, and soon found herself a prisoner in her own home. Determined to escape, she gathered together what little money she had, dressed herself as a boy, cutting her lovely hair to just past her shoulders, binding her breasts so they would not be noticable and dirtying her face, she slipped out of her window and headed down to the harbor, to attempt to sign on with a ship as a cabin boy.

Taking the name of Kit, she had no success until she came upon a ship that had a more "rugged" looking crew, and were willing to take an unexperienced cabin boy on for less wages than normal. Little did she know that the "Dark Lady" was a pirate ship, and that she would be discovered eventually in her ruse.

The story will begin with Kit already on board the ship and out to sea.

The characters so far are:

Kaitlyn "Kit" Adams - myself
Our Captain, who is nameless yet - Steiner

These are the only 2 characters in this saga so far.

I would like to have some other crew members to interact with, particularly a couple that would be the ones to discover that Kit is female and to turn her over to the Captain. They could have the privilege of messing with her a bit before turning her in, but not daring to take her without his leave first.

There are opportunities for all types of characters I believe, and there could even be some female pirates or some of the crew's women. This bunch is not in the least superstitous about women being aboard a ship, as they seem to have more than their share of luck.

I will probably start the actual story in the next couple of days to see what kind of response this brings. Hope to write with some folks!

Captain Reaper

Life aboard one of his Brittanic Majesties ships of the line had never really meshed with Ensign Willhelm Rieper's dream of Naval glory. For one thing there wasn't much actual glory to accompany the backbreaking drudgery of trying to become Lieutenant - and conditions were far too harsh for someone accustomed to the finer things.

It was his assignment to the Barbadian squadron that finally broke him away from the straight and narrow. Some of the pirate lords had larger fleets than the Royal Navy presence there - and some of them, the official 'Privateers' were given virtual carte blanche to carry out their operations. Seizing his chance, he was soon Captain Rieper of the Pirate Ship Revenge.

That was five profitable years ago. Now the Reaper King's ships covered a lot of the trade lanes - and his flagship, the Dark Lady - was the most feared in the area.

Captain Reaper (as he was now known to his crew) settled easily into the image of the Pirate Lord. A tall man, black hair tied back out of his blue eyes, he wears well made clothes - silk shirt, leather trews and high boots. Always armed, he generally carries a sword and a couple of pistols - although his authority is generally enforced by a cold gaze and a whip-crack voice.

Bridgette the female pirate

Bridgette
age 18 neck length red hair, 38b bust, 5'4, wears boots and a short tight shirt showing her breasts off. craves attention and sex.

bio: At the age of 16 she was on a boat with her parents attacked by pirates. she clung to driftwood and passed out. She was picked up by the pirates that attacked her ship. she woke up with amnesia and was taken in as one of the crew but is often babied by the captin and the crew members fancying her. he likes battle but physical work does not appease her so she uses her privlage and the fact thatshe is a woman on board with lots of men to get out of it

Nice description Lil Miss - you're quartered in one of the smaller cabins on the Dark Lady, near the aft. Originally the cabin was supposed to give you some privacy - but it sounds like you've been using it for other things...

Of course the fact that it's about 20 feet from my own cabin is in no way for my convenience... <wink>

My only standing order regarding your behaviour on board ship is that you don't screw men who are supposed to be on duty - and you mustn't have a relationship with any one of the corsair's. You can fuck whoever you want, but you can't belong to just one guy (to cut down on any fighting over you).

Well, we're off!

Hope you like the story so far. I may be playing some crew members myself until someone else comes along to take them, just to keep things moving in an interesting direction.

So far, our new character is Monet, kind of the Captain's right-hand man. He's up for grabs if someone wants to take him over.

There will also be the two characters that have been eying Kit already, perhaps suspicious of her, perhaps into young men. If someone takes the characters, I'll let them decide how they want to play that. If not, then I'll figure it out as we go along.

I think this will be fun!

Has fought his way hard and long through pirate ranks. From cabin boy, to helmsmen. Doing the brunt work most of his life. He has now made one of the top positions on one of the most elite pirate ship in the world.
A big rugged man, he is known for not only his undoubted strength, but fairness as well. He's been known from time to time to split up the keep of the wealth equally. Not always, but when it's possible. He makes sure no man works too hard, or sleeps too long. He's tough, but fair, just as a first mate should.
Admires the captain, for his way of life. and hopes to take his own ship one day, and ride off into the sunset, in search of his own treasure.

Karisma Delaine

Second in comand to the captian

young for a second in comand but has been on a ship all her life. Her father was one of the most famous pirates know. Tobias Delain, better know as Terrible Tobias was the captian of the seven marks and karismas was is only and favorite daughter.

she seems to be about 24 but no one really know her real age for she'll kill them for asking.

She is half frencha and half phillipino. she stands about 5'7" with long dark curly black hair .

Jared Wisconsin Crew Master

Jared is a massive man standing around 6’5 he is a mean but beautiful man, long straight locks had gotten in the beginning a few laughs and his deep sapphire eyes didn’t help but his ruthless actions and his foremost ability in hand to hand combat had gained the respect of all on the crew, he is the finest of swordsmen, able to slice the sleeves off a crewman without drawing blood, to drop the trousers again without blood, to piece the heart in a fluid motion, to slice fingers off, he was mighty impressive with his long saber, able even to slap people around with the wisp of the blade…

Being assigned to the ship after an abundant of trade of slaves for him, his brutal efficiency had increased the output by the crew by 10 fold…

A cold man, he hardly socializes, usually being content with sitting in his room and working out the next day’s plan and effective battle plans…

Along with his skill in the saber, his talent also lies in his whip, which he uses to control the insubordinates…
