I just wrote my car off! Everyone's ok, but my insurance is going to be astronomical when I need to renew it!

My poor baby Mildred, she's gone to the great scarpyard in the sky! :(

hon, does that mean youve had an accident?
im glad that everyones ok but ugh!
i can so relate. had a major accident this summer and the car should have been totalled but they fixed it (somewhat) and now im driving a pseudo healed tin can.
crossing fingahs that the insurance isnt too hiked up for you. mine didnt do as badly as i thought and im grateful.
sending huge positive thoughts your way.

Yes I was in an accident! I was coming down a hill and the car in front of me stopped and I hit the brakes but didn't stop! I'm just so glad everyone's ok, because I had two young (13 + 15 yrs) friends in the back I I would never have forgiven myself if anything had happened to them!

The good news is that my insurance won't change until August which gives me plenty of time to save up and they don't think it'll go up that much and I went to the garage earlier and I bought (well ok, Daddy bought it but I will pay him back!) a new little car. She's silver, any ideas for names?

I miss Mildred. :(

:D just teasing.

We called all our cars by the same name. We just added a number on the end.

Hence I am currently driving Kate-5.

So...........Mildred-II ??

Mildred was special so I don't think I'll use her name again. I was thinking something like Erin or Kyna!

What kind of ride is it?

Thats the bad news! Erin (I decided!) is a silver R reg Skoda Felicia. She's not nearly a nice as Mildred (Fiat Punto sx 60) but she's a nicer colour and £500 cheaper (unless I get central locking fitted which I might do because I'm lazy! :) ) but I learnt to drive in a Felicia and my Mum used to have one so at least I know it's an easy drive!

My car's name is.... the car. :D

Mine too. Once in awhile I may rub the dash and say, 'Good girl' or 'That's my girl.' I'm rough on vehicles, sometimes a bit too rough and that's when I talk to the car.
