For the love of fucking GOD I hate banks.

£300

They have lost £300 of mine, somewhere between themselves and my University. The first I hear of it is when I get in, and I find a letter telling me if I don't pay my last fee installment tomorrow, I'll be suspended from the University until I do.

WHAT THE FUCK?

If they didn;t get it, WHY is my account missing £300?

*SCREAM*

You're not the first...

...and won't be the last.

I'd blame the university before the bank.

They have your money but in the wrong pigeonhole. What you need is a copy of your bank statement showing that the money has gone. Then the university have to find where they put it.

See your student union office asap.

Og (Been through it with 2 of my 3 student daughters)

The day the money leaves your hands in the date of payment, not the date they receive it [or find it in this case]. And if the university didn't give you a reciept, they are violating the tax laws. :rose:

If it was an electronic transfer you should have been given a confirmation number or a routing number.

If you wrote a check then the bank should be able to provide you with a copy of the canceled check to wave in the front of the University's collective faces.

If it was an automatic EFT set up to enable the U to pull the funds from your account then they have a copy of that transfer.

Start jumping up and down on someone's desk. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
