A way to improve posting time?

I couldn't find any information on this when I went searching, so hoping I can find some answers by asking myself.

I understand that when submitting for approval, it takes some time to get vetted properly. Completely understandable, but once my latest story got approved, it was set to be posted the next day at what I believe was 12am.

Is there some way I can submit my work for approval and then have it go live at a time I would like? Or is it just a matter of stories having to get published in bulk once the servers update?

There is already so much workload on only two people, I can't imagine they'd bother w/such a time sensitive specific request but in the most extreme of extreme cases or possibly never.

I was just wondering if there was some sort of scheduling feature I was missing, not putting a request into the moderation/approval team. Or perhaps if you could submit it for approval first as a draft and after it's aproved you could publish it on your own.

I haven't done it myself, but I gather some authors have done this by mentioning their preferred publication date in the Notes field when submitting.

No, you're not missing anything. All stories are set for a date by the Laurel. 12am is the time that the new stories go live for a specific date. That's the way things are done and always have been.
