OOC : sorry people this thread is closed for Don/Deb and I as we try and hone our writing skills. You are obviously welcome to drop by and check out our writing and hope you get some fun from it. The story about the walk will be fairly representative of the "Overland Walk" in Tasmania, a walk I am quite familiar with.
Background:
Peter and his long term friend had decided to walk the Overland Track in central Tasmania. Peter had been away from the States for a few months and his old friend had arranged to fly over and visit him. When he had suggested this walk as part of her holiday it had appealed to her as a chance to have fun and see some of the special country Peter had described in his emails.
They had just landed at Devonport airport and were about to catch the bus to Crable Mountain, the start of this epic six day walk. Peter had arranged all their equipment and food and was looking forward to spending some time with his old friend.
