"Stand back." Jack waited for the bank manager to step away, then he flexed his right hand, a sheen of yellow light formed around it, more colors joining it until Jack reached his hand forward, disintegrating the lock and ripping the door open from the inside, breaking one of the door's hinges. Jack took the duffel bag off his back and filled it up with bills. Jack dropped the bag on the ground, cracked his knuckles and concentrating, light and electricity flowing around his hands. Then there was a flash of light and all the lights and computers in the bank went down.

"What the hell was that?" asked the bank manager, rubbing his eyes.

"Electromagnetic pulse, kills any tracking devices," Jack hefted the full sack of money over his shoulders. Jack walked out into the main foyer of the bank. Lights were flashing through the window, blue and red, and Jack sighed.

"Come out with your hands up, we have the building surrounded," came the megaphone message from outside. Jack checked to make sure his mask was still in place. It was an ornate mask, made of paper mache and designed to draw attention to itself. The rest of the outfit were a pair of basic black sweat pants and sweat shirt with black loafers from Wal-mart. Jack had wanted to be as non-descript as possible so the mask was the only thing they could report. Assured that the mask was firmly in place Jack walked outside and raised his hands.

The police had a barracade set up and there must have been at least a dozen officers with guns aimed at him. Jack looked up to the sky. Light and electricity began to coalesce around his entire body and an instant later Jack was a streak in the sky, leaving the cops and the bank miles behind him as he flew away.

He landed on the roof of his dorm and took the mask off, gathering energy about his hand and disintegrating the mask. He checked his watch on his other hand. "Shit, I'm going to be late for class."

Jack went through the roof entrance and down the stairs to his dorm. He tossed his duffel full of cash under his bed and quickly changed into jeans and a polo shirt, grabbed his regular book bag and headed off to his world civ class. If he ran he just might make it.

OOC: Jack is obviously the villain of the story. What I'm looking for is a female to play the hero. She'd also be a college student by day and a super hero by night. As college students the two become friends and eventually lovers, while their alter-egos are at each other's throats. His daring bank robberies can't be stopped by the police and so the female lead takes it upon herself to stop this evil villain. As the story goes forward his thefts become bolder and he learns to harness his powers as weapons so there could even be a few fight scenes.

Any lady interested in the part is welcome to drop an OOC here, though I'd prefer a PM. You'll have alot of freedom to create on your own, friends, family, we can even work on the storyline together.

Thanks!

The thunder crashed around her. She could feel the rain on her face, she reached for her mother, but she couldn’t find her in the dark. She didn’t understand what had happened. She could see twisted metal and broken glass shimmering in the flickering flash of the lightning. She called out for her mother and got no answer. She tried to sit up, to move and then there were red and blue lights… and shouts. A paramedic slid down the hill to her. “She’s alive. Possible head trauma. Peds backboard and a c collar.” Darby tried to ask about her mother but the paramedic told her that he would take care of her. Everything faded to black.

Darby awakened with a start. The accident had been 14 years ago, but she often still awakened breathless and pleading for her mother. It was that car accident that had caused her subdural hematoma. The brain trauma had activated her telekinesis. Her father had helped her explore her abilities but now, he was gone as well. Her powers were useless against his rare form of cancer. So, now college sophomore Darby Prescott was all alone in the world, and wondering how she was going to keep her secrets all to herself.

To outsiders, Darby Prescott seemed like any other trust fund baby. She had inherited a fortune from her parents. She had a private room in the dorm at her university and she showed up in the pages of Vanity Fair as often as she landed on the Dean’s list. She studied hard, and wanted to achieve but she also had to oversee her parents’ philanthropic foundation.
Darby got up from bed and brushed out her long dark hair. She pulled it up into a long ponytail and then slid into her jeans and found her favorite black t shirt with the lace sleeves. She brushed her teeth and put on a minimal amount of makeup. Then she was out the door to her World Civilization class. Her brain was buzzing with whatever energy caused her telekinesis. Her head ached slightly. She put on her sunglasses. She didn’t have time to think about her powers.

Students on the sidewalk beside her were talking about another bank heist. Witnesses had said the man had some sort of abilities. She began to wonder if she could have stopped him.
She made it to class just in time. She slid into a desk in the back. She didn’t normally like to sit in the back, she was a sit close to the front and participate sort of student, but the buzz in her head was really bothering her.
“Thanks for joining us, Miss Prescott.” Dr. Allen hissed from the front of the room. He had made it his mission to make it clear that she would get no special treatment for her last name because the class met in the Francine Prescott Building. What he didn’t realize is that Darby would never want that kind of special treatment. Her mother, Frankie, would have been mortified if Darby had ever behaved in an entitled way, or lorded over others.
“My apologies, Dr. Allen. I overslept. It won’t happen again.” Darby offered softly. The buzz was there again. She focused on the pencil on her table and subtly moved it back and forth with that buzzing energy. The pencil only slid a fraction of an inch, and back, but using her abilities siphoned off some of the energy in her brain and gave her some relief.

Jack slammed the door open with his shoulder, banging it against the wall of the large classroom. He was breathing heavy and sweating a bit, having run all the way across campus. He would have made better time if he had flown, but that kind of would have blown his cover as a super criminal. He didn't know that he was interrupting the exchange between the professor and the rich girl. He didn't even know there was a rich girl in his class. All he knew was that all eyes were on him.

Jack blushed. He waved weakly. "Sorry everyone," Jack said meekly, "I, uh, overslept."

"You too?" Dr. Allen asked derisively, "Did you oversleep with Miss Prescott?"

The whole class oohed and ahhed at that comment. Six months ago Jack would have timidly taken his seat. Hell, last week he would have timidly taken his seat and let the professor intimidate him. But this morning he robbed a bank. Jack wasn't sure how powerful he was, but he knew he could knock this fat man down on his haunches. And he wasn't going to be intimidated.

Jack's whole demeanor changed. His cheeks were still red, but it was from rage now instead of embarrassment. He drew himself up to his full height and when he spoke it was a bit louder than Dr. Allen, and an octave deeper.

"No, and I won't have you casting aspirations on my private life in public. I believe the dean stated that constitutes sexual harassment. Perhaps I should take that up with her."

It was Dr. Allen's turn to look meek. "I apologize. There's no need to go to the dean. It won't happen again."

Jack shot him a glare and sat down in the nearest seat, unbeknownst to him, right next to Miss Prescott.

"Sorry about that," Jack said to Darcy, "I hate it when people push me around."

Darby smiled at Jack.

"Thanks, we weren't even really that late." She offered with a little bit of a laugh. She picked up her pencil and began to take notes as Dr. Allen began his lecture. Darby tried to keep up but her head was killing her. She rubbed her temple and looked over at Jack. It made her smile to think about him standing up to Dr. Allen.

The class seemed to last forever. Darby took notes and sketched little pictures in her journal to help her remember the lecture. Coffee. She thought about the caffeine might help alleviate her headache.

Darby was feeling especially brave, she looked over at Jack as he tossed his book and notebook back in his backpack.

"Do you want to go get some coffee? My treat? It is the least I can do since you got Dr. Allen to stop being such an ass." She fidgeted with the hem of her shirt as she waited for him to reply.
