Ooc: All right. Here's the premise. The year, oh who cares... some threads are so strict in years, and setting, it sickens me sometimes. It's in the near future, thats all your getting from me. We are in a city, a big city.
Vampires are here, but they have completely taken control of the planet. They don't have a government or anything. I guess it would be best to think of it as a modern jungle of concrete, where the battle of predator and prey go on. The humans are few, the vampires have eaten a lot of them. It is a dystopia, where humans run and hide, for fear of their lives.
I want to get a few rules down for the vampires. If a vampire bites, and takes blood from a victum, that doesn't mean they become a vampire. To become a vampire, there has to be an exchange of blood. The vampire cuts themselves, and the human cuts themself, and they put the wounds on each other... They aren't afraid of crosses, or garlic. A stake to the heart won't kill them... in fact, anything stuck into their heart will kill them.
They don't age, vampires are, in that sense immortal. The sun will kill them, unfortunately.
Thats about it, if I didn't say anything about it, you can do whatever you feel like.
For the humans, I don't have much. They can be runaway's, or vampire hunters, or simply people who haven't been turned yet, hell, they can even be people wanting to be turned.
I only have one real rule for being a human, you need to fear vampires. You can hate them, like them, but you have to be afraid of them.
Other than that, I don't care. There are no real leaders of either side. I don't want to turn this into a war, mostly it's just a pursuit of blood, and running away.
Enjoy everyone.
Gary ran into the hotel room, looking back. He hoped he wasn't followed. She had been on his track for days. Gary closed the door, locking it.
Inside, it was dark. He flicked the light switch on. Stupid him, the power was turned off weeks ago. It was a habit that would take him a while to break.
The bed was made, and a small briefcase sat upon it. Gary looked at it, curiously. Someone must have been in here earlier.
Stepping toward the case, he looked around the room. HE didn't want to see another body, it was almost sickening how they left bodies to rot on the street. Shriveled, rotting creatures, Gary tried to block that from his mind.
He opened it. A dull click. There was a horrent bang at the door.
He cursed at himself, ducking under the bed.
"Come on out Gary..." it was her. (not going to say a name for now, whoever wants to play her, can choose a suitable name. I am awful with names. I am using my own for this character...)
The door swelled up, and a terrible crack formed down the middle. It exploded, and the beautiful figure walked in. She sniffed the air lightly.
He tried to stop his breathing, but it was very hard. His heart was pounding like a snare drum.
She stepped closer to the bed, "Yep, you're in here. Come on, just a little bite. It won't hurt... much."
She walked to the other side of the room, Gary tried to follow her, without moving. He knew they had excellent hearing, she could probably hear his heart right now.
She paused, at the edge of the bed. She was pointed at the closet.
She thought he was in the closet, perfect. He could run for the door, and escape.
She turned back to the bed. Gary twinged. Not the closet. She moved back to the front of the room. He saw her coming closer. She was right exactly where he was. Under the bed, hishead was mere inches from her shoes.
She turned to the bathroom door, and walked to open it.
"Come out wherever you are."
She went inside, but still looked at the room at an angle.
Gary tried to rationalize this. She was between him and the door. He couldn't make it there. She was too fast, they were all too fast. No human could outrun them, they had to outsmart them.
If he stayed under the bed, he would surely be caught. There was only one option, the window.
He was on the third floor. People have survived that, and if he found a piece of grass, or something. That was crazy. Hotel's were surrounded by pavement, pavement and a pool...
The pool. He could jump to the pool.
As if on instinct he scrambled out of the bed, and ran for the window. It was open.
He didn't look back, he jumped.
She caught him. Shit.
"Going somewhere sweety?"
Why did she have such a sweet voice? She was a monster, she shouldn't have a sweet voice.
He turned, looking at her, "Just for a walk honey."
She brought him closer to her, "Gary. Quit fighting it. I love you, don't you understand that. Let me have you."
He tried to resist, but she was holding him by his coat, there wasn't much he could do.
"Get youself another virgin."
"There aren't any more. I know, I have checked," he was now being held close to her. He could feel her body next to his.
She kissed him passionately on the lips, he couldn't help but kiss her back.
She moved her mouth to his neck, and whispered into his ear, "Gary, I do love you. Remember, before I was turned. We loved each other, can't we have that again?"
He did remember. That was why it hurt so much every time he ran away from her. She was kissing his ear, nibbling down to his neck.
"Can I say one thing first?"
She paused, "Yes darling."
He moved over to her ear, kissing it, "I am breaking up with you."
He kicked back from the building, as he quickly got out of his coat. He did a backflip, hoping he would hit the pool.
SPLASH!!!
In a torrent of water, he felt himself hit the bottom, but very lightly. He swam to the edge of the pool.
Looking up at the window, he saw she was gone. A crashing sound came from something in the lobby.
"Shit," he muttered, getting out of the pool, he started to run.
Up in the sky, he could see twilight coming. It would be dawn soon. He smiled. It was almost over.
There was a park, he thought he might be able to lose her in all the trees.
She ran after him, "Tonight's the night. That was a daring escape, but all together..."
She tackled him down on the dewy grass. Gary tried to roll over, and get up, but she had him pinned,
"useless."
He struggled, but her power was greater than his.
"Gary, just relax. It won't be painful, I promise."
She leaned down to him, Gary turned his head to the right.
"You forgot what time it is, didn't you?"
She looked up. The sun would be over the horizon in a few minutes.
"Shit... "She got up, "Another night then. I do look forward to it."
She ran off, Gary got up dusting himself off. He bowed respectably, "Another night then."
The sun rose.
(I apologize this was so long, but I had to point a few things out. Like I said, anyone can play any character. One more thing I want to say, virgins are rare in this society, people don't like being a virgin, because as we all know, virgin blood tastes soo much better.)
