Hi Everyone,

I’ve written several stories here on Lit., but am embarking on my latest story, and wanted to see what you all thought about a new story I am authoring.

I’ve been deeply fascinated by female bodybuilders for some time, and wanted to write a story that has a common woman (Let’s call her Gia) who falls in love with a woman of power, named Alexis. I honestly haven’t seen any such stories around that deals with this subject matter, except for Diana the Valkyrie’s website, and even then, I haven’t found a very good story that deals with a woman’s hang-ups and misconceptions about female bodybuilders. I think many of us lesbians see women like that as wanting to be ‘manly’ or masculine in some way, but the girl bodybuilders I’ve known and dated, that was never the case. So in this story, I tackle that issue, having Gia coming to terms with her own definition of beauty, blurring the lines of what is typically a male oriented lifestyle.

The story is set in the present, and has Gia reluctantly going to an exclusive bodybuilder show to help a friend photograph it. She almost gets sick to her stomach when she sees what these women are, and she wants to leave. But her friend begs her to stay... this is where her inner conflict begins... is a woman of muscle truly perverted and disgusting, or is this their own unique way of finding their own version of beauty and splendor? Gia questions herself all night at this event, until she finally sees Alexis come on stage and perform a mystifying erotic dance for the audience. Gia is spellbound, and re-thinks her position...

So the real payoff for this story is the gradual acceptance that Gia makes, and in turn falls hard for Alexis. And yes, lots of steamy sex wrapped in the safe warmth of their budding romance.

Just wanted to see what your thoughts were on this unusual subject.

Thanks!

Love,
~Meredith (Mimi)

I guess that means there is no interest in such a subject.

Actually it would be more interesting if the bodybuilder was submissive, part of the fun would be Gia finding it out and then deciding if she wants to explore dominating or not. ;)

i second emap's suggestion of inverting the reader's expectation.

I like hearing some feedback ideas from everyone. A BIG thanks! Its curious you suggest a little role reversal… that’s exactly what I do in this story. The female bodybuilder comes off as a powerful creature, but is reduced to nothing more than melted butter when she first makes love to her girl. The real beauty of this story is kind of introducing women to a different kind of woman… because most female bodybuilders are looked at as too manly or whatever. I don’t see it that way at all. I see power and strength as something both men and woman can enjoy and worship.

Thoughts? ;)

Thanks again for your feedback!

for my part, i'd be very interested in seeing the results. :> i'll have to go check out your other stories, now... :D

The only other story that deals with female bodybuilders is:

A Primitive Hope, Part I
A Primitive Hope – Part II

These stories are a bit more on fantasy, yet set in a contemporary setting. The story deals with an everyday woman who finds her high school girlfriend to be a mammoth bodybuilder at a secluded lesbian ranch in Las Vegas. It involves some slight domination, but nothing severe… I personally enjoyed writing it.

Thanks for checking them out!

Peace and Love,

I know you probably don't want a man's opition on this but I would like to post it. Most people don't find women with musucle beautiful. I happen to think they are not different and no less pretty. Added strength does not bother me and the few women I have dated that have had great strenght like being treatied as women when so many treat them like freaks. I infact knew one woman in college who was stronger then me......there was Kate when I was younger who played ice hockey, lifted weights, and had four brothers. She liked having a guy just be sweet to her...

Bottom line is I think you should do your story and end sterotypes........god knows we have plenty of those.

i do love fitness!

but i've never thoght about writing something on this subject.....but i'm getting some thoughts...mostly fantasy stuff. i.e. hubby and i are very wealthy and need a body guard...so we hire this woman (maybe 2). she lives with us, and we have a large house. she helps me stay fit in our gym......not sure if this works for you

That is a very nice idea indeed! I like it… but I’ve already laid out the plot, and have about 20 pages of it completed thus far. I cannot wait to complete it.

Your idea seems wonderful. Perhaps this bodyguard/trainer could transform you… make you into a lesbian, and possibly a bodybuilder yourself? Hmmm… I have always loved the concept of transformation in a woman. It has always struck me as a deeply erotic idea.

I might have to use that at some point. Thank you, Jen! :rose:
