heartwarming, blech, comforting, yuck and optimistic. The whole and entire answer to "Children these days...".

My friend was at home moping about her misfortune (same thing twice in a week) and generally feeling sorry for herself when her mobile rang (cell phone).

"Hello?"

"Could you tell me your name please?"

"Amanda Cartwright."

"And could you tell me your address?"

"The 'Feathers' Darlington."

"I have someone that would like to speak to you."

Pause. A young boy's voice:

"Hello?"

"Hello."

"I've got the receipt and everything. I used your top-up card so there's only five pounds missing, and got your number so that I could ring you."

"What do you want?"

"I've found your purse."

My sisiter had a similar thing happen on Sunday. We were shopping in town and we bought lots from wilkinsons, mostly because my Nanna was with us, anyway, we struggle to the sisters car with our purchases, get them back to my house and sit around doing, well family things.

Around 4:20 my sister realises her handbag is nowhere to be found. She must have left it at Wilks. Well, it was too late to do anything by then, they shut at 4pm and a phone call told us that if it had been found it was locked away afely in the help desk.

We set about convincing ach other it was safe and sound in Wilks, when my mobile phone rang...and the call was form my sisters mobile, she picked it up but they'd put down before she got to it. Suddenly the panic ceased us again. So i rang the number and left a heartfelt plea o the voicemail to contact us.

My phone rang again soon after, it was a lovely young lady who had found the bag and had been ringing all the numbers in the phone to try and get hold of my sister. We went ot her home and picked up my sisters bag, it had everything still in it, not one thing as missing.

There are good people out there, Thank God.

Then there was the nice Irish group on their last night in Chicago. They were dancing and having a great time at a show I was doing sound for. The show ended and I was in the middle of breaking down when a beautiful young woman ran up, panic-stricken, begging to know if anyone had seen her purse. Someone had stolen her phone and her purse (with her passport inside). They were due to be on a flight 8 hours later. I felt so bad for them and that it would probably be the way they would always remember my city. :(
