As you may have noticed (maybe?), Lit had a series of hardware failures within the last 24 hours, all relating to a single drive gone bad. All of the problems were related to the forum, though our research into the initial crash did require taking down the main site member area for a few hours. Everything (except my sanity) seems to be back to normal now and we don't think that any data was lost.
Sorry for the problems and we are hoping as much as you are that it never happens again. Hard drives are bigger, stronger, and faster than they used to be, but when one goes, the results are the same - carnage!
For those of you techies out there, yes we do use RAID, but somehow it didn't save us this time.
Now back to our regularly unscheduled programming....
