OOC: Hi All, this is just me writing some random stuff. I've been working on his story for a couple weeks and just needed to do some fine tuning. There are about 11 pages if I put it out in Microsoft word, but I want to break it down some so it's not so boring.....oh and for the record I don't spell check even though I really should lol....The reason I put it here instead of the story section is because I want to make an rp out of the ending..and continue from there.

If you like it by the time "I'm done" his back story and get back to the "tavern" be my guest....There is no real story persay, but just doing this for fun...Thanks and I hope you all enjoy..

Walking slowly through the cold night of the forest surrounding the nearby tavern, Eternal looks for just that quiet place he has needed. No signs of life can be found He thinks, sitting down against the dead tree, wondering what his fate might hold, wandering what the future might bring. Looking around at the baroness of this new place he feels almost at peace some how within, wondering once more how this could be. Reaching down he grabs his blades pulling each of them out slowly from their sheaths. Staring deeply into the blood stained silvery tips of them he sees the reflection of his wounded and battered self reflecting back at him. Shaking his head he takes the blades and throws each of them across the evening air and listens to them hit a distant rock with an echo.

His head falls, and his fingers curl into a small fist, pulling his knees to his chest wrapping his swollen arms around them sobbing quietly for all that is going on around him. Eternals thoughts unable to escape him remembering the past few days, weeks and even months, tears begin to fall down his weary and battered face, and drops of rain begins to fall around him soaking his body the harder it comes down. Unable to move, more importantly not caring enough to remove himself from the elements he sits solemnly, quietly desperately seeking the answers to all his questions, hopes, dreams and future.

With the rain continuing to pour down around his body, his soul growing weaker, his mind thinking back to a time when there was love, desire and fun that filled his now darkened heart. Eternal simply looks up as drops of rain pound his body, dripping, no running down his face mixing with the salty tears that already dance unhappily down to his cheeks. No words are spoken but save a grunt and small laugh of displeasure at not only himself, but the people he once loved, and thought he cared for. Always putting more faith and trust in them, then what they truly probably deserved. Shaking himself loose for only a moment, he places his chin back on his steady knees shaking feverishly, scared and alone, for the first time he knows he must go through this alone, as his failing friends can only help him so much.

Attempting to gather what mental and physical strength he has, he forgoes the search of his blades, leaving then for someone else to pick it up and use it for what he does not care. Finally getting to his feet, He heads towards the darkness of the forest contemplating leaving them all behind, without a word without a trace, and most importantly without regret. His mind and heart more tainted then he originally thought, still pondering his future around the area. Lowering his head once more the rain pouring heavily across his body, not letting up for what seems an eternity, he possibly could be living the moment he has always feared and not wanted to happen.....eternally suffering......Moving even closer to the wood line he attempts to lean his body against the tree only failing and hitting the soaked ground below.

His body, to exhausted to move any further, his mind and body both in much need of rest that just never comes from the constant fighting; attacking defending all that he once loved and cared about around him. His fate still in the air he finally comes to a resting point in his mind, as the dreams start to haunt it.

Waking up he pushes up with what strength he has, only to fall back down into the puddle of mud that has formed under his body. Eternal’s eyes feeling the burn of the dirty mucky water and lets out a deep scream of agony pushing once again, his fingers digging deeper into the mud.

Eternal pulls his knees forward pushing back in a half-hearted attempt to sit upon them and figure out what is going on. Looking up into the sky, he screams once again if nothing else just to make sure he is alive and breathing. As the rain pelts his face, he looks at his chest finally realizing he is without clothing.

“What the hell” Eternal says shaking his head trying to figure out just what the hell happened to him.

Inspecting his chest further, he looks at the claw marks that run the length of his stomach and chest, long, red and agitated the marks are thick and not of human form.

Using the tips of his fingers Eternal runs them slowly down his torso, feeling each of the raised scars that now mark his chest. Still quite unsure of what has happened he looks up slightly and sees his torn clothing ten feet away. Arching his back, he feels a slight pain coming from the center of his back, shaking his head harder still wondering what it could be. Stretching his hand over his shoulder Eternal feels something different, something he had not been expecting.

Wings…

Removing his hands from his back, he looks at them staring deeply at his fingertip. Looking at the slightly charred skin, he wonders what the hell has happened to him. Hearing the first sound since his arrival to the forest his head turned quickly to the left, watching her approach and kneel down beside him. The first thing he noticed was her wings, white bold and wide, her presence healing and Soothing. As she kneels down beside him she comforts him, not with words, but only by a simple touch........

Not even catching her name he wonders to himself, what force sent this angel to him? Watching as she walks away into the distant trees his mind debates whether to follow or stay.
Deciding now is the time to move on from this place, he runs quickly through the tall brush of the tree line hoping to find where she entered. Upon finding the entrance, He stands for a moment still wondering inside his heart if this is the right thing for him to do or not.

"What the hell," he says to himself with slight grin.

"Not like I have much to loose at this point" he continues finally making his decision quietly and walks into woods.

Eternal looks around at huge branches from the ageless trees that seem to move deeper into the forest, Feeling tightness in his chest, which he has never felt before. The air thick, as the leaves begin to block all possible light from entering the area, almost hindering his ability to see more then 5 feet in front of him. Almost instinctively, he reaches for the handles of his blades, cursing loudly remembering that he left them behind.

Pulling his hand away from his side, he takes just a few seconds to let his vision adjust to the darkness of the forest. Stopping dead in his tracks, his eyes gaze as his head turns slowly from one side to the other, his vision just as clear and perfect as a sunny summer afternoon back home. His body trembles at this new feeling wondering what else this new power has in store for him. Walking slowly through the thickets and brush, his thick skin not bothered by the massive sized thorns attempting to rip apart his flesh. As he comes to a small clearing, he looks around thinking to himself.

"What a strange place this is" looking at various statues and strange markings that now encompass the ground of the forest.

His eyes continue to look at the strange markings upon the forest floor, trying to study them and figure out exactly what the hell they are. Bending down, his knee touches the ground as his fingers trace along the strange markings he has never seen before. Hearing a crackling sound of a breaking tree branch, he looks up quickly only to see her standing there, her hands wrapped around her waist, head slightly tilted downwards as she approaches him. Gazing at her beauty, her wings folded peacefully behind her back Opening her arms exposing her body to him, a motion he construes as non-threatening. Taking a chance he stands slowly, and places his own arms in much the same position, giving her the same respect that she has shown to him.

Stepping forward, his foot finally crossing the line his fingers were just inspecting. Opening his mouth to speak, but not able to find the words to say; only the sound of his heavy breathing escapes his dry throat and lips. As she looks at him, her finger lowers to the ground pointing at his foot. Looking down and to the right; he notices this place is not all that unfamiliar to him after all. Stepping backwards he falls to his knees the he howled and a small steady stream of tears began to roll down his face. Reaching his hand towards the stone, he runs his fingers across the lettering of the tombstone. Wiping his watery eyes, he continues to trace the lettering recognizing the names; the names of his parents.

Ignoring the sound of her footsteps, Eternal feels her hand brush against his shoulder; she squeezes it firmly, just letting him know she is there. He continues to ignore her, as this has been the place he's been searching for, the place he's been searching these lands forever to find. As he folds his body forward, he opens his arms upon the tombstone and just holds it as if he was actually hugging his mother and father once again, as the waves of memories begin to unfold in his dark mind.

Looking up over his shoulders, she still remains standing as prim and proper as it was when he first saw her, just a few moments ago; his quivering lip opens slowly as his strained voice begins to speak.

"Tina?" he says with such a hesitation and uncertainty as he once again looks upon the tomb of his parents.

Kneeling down beside him, her arm rests upon his shoulder embracing him tightly. As his body shakes and the sounds of a mournful man echoes across the quiet forest, she leans over and presses her head to his and whispers the only soft words she can find at the moment.

"Yes my old, it is me" she says quietly.

Lifting his head slowly, he turns and faces her. The tears have all now but cleaned his face of the dirt

“How long have you been following me?" he finally finishes his thoughts in what seemed to take an eternity.

Tina sighs deeply pondering her response her arms folding back to her lap, her lips parting slowly to speak.

"For quite some time, Eternal"

"You never stopped long enough for me to catch you." she continues in a strong powerful voice, something he does not remember her having when they were together.
Turning his head just enough to catch her from the corner of his eyes, he asks quietly

"And just what exactly do you mean by that, I have been in the same place for the past year and you never approached, why?"

Tina stood behind him and attempted to console him, hoping that by letting him feel her warmth he would calm down just enough for them to talk again.

“I just didn’t think the time was right” she told him backing away knowing he was going to get even angrier at her.

“What, What the hell kind of logic is that?” He responded standing quickly, his anger building to the point of rage.

He turned around, eyes raging, burning with anger and hatred towards her. He knew that at anytime should have stepped up, stepped up and helped him through the hell that he went through, but she chose not to. He reached into his pocket; hands shake as he pulled out his last remaining cigarette.

He lit the smoke and tossed the match aside quickly stamping it out with his foot. Turning around as the sound of her footsteps approached him, his eyes once blue, now black as the night sky around them.

“Do you know how long I’ve been watching you?” she asked quietly.

Before given the chance to respond she continued voice as soft as her previous question.

“I’ve watched you, from the beginning Eternal, I’ve watched your transformations through out this past year.” She told him

“Think back, think long and hard about the person, the type of person you were when you first came here.” She said, voice gaining power and momentum.

“You were wolf, remember” she said.

His eyes glazed as the fog of his memory comes back to him, the funning love guy that he once used to be. The good times that he had with his family and friends, the laughter, just everything about him has changed. But during those times, the people that he dealt with, the decision they made, and more importantly the decision he made had changed him into what he has become.

He remembered back to the death of those times, he remembers the rebirth from the darkness and into nothing but a mere human.

"Then remember what happened next" she continues as if reading his own thoughts back to him.

His only response was a small nod, as he remembers the return of the evil into his life, the return of the darkness that he had held inside for so long. He walked over to the nearest tree, leaned against it and fell to the ground, his mind bringing him back to the present as his transformation into this new form has now been completed.

She approached him slowly unsure of his reaction to her, her own eyes swell as a slow trickle of a tear fell down the right side of her face.

"You have become one of us now, you have become what you were destined to be, what your parents were as well." She continued as she knelt down in front of him, placing her fingers upon his knees.

He looked up at her, his head shaking slowly from side to side.

"I will never be like them" he vented in anger and frustration remembering the pain they caused him.

He lowered his head back into his knees, the anger continued to build deep inside his stomach, building and building his mind ready to explode with the hundreds of thoughts and memories now ensnaring his head.

He pushed up with all his might when he could not take anymore, nose to nose with her, eyes still full of anger and twisted aggression.

"You know something old lover” he said to her his voice filled with anger and betrayal.

“If you cared and loved me as much as you always fucking claimed you did, why you didn’t come to me sooner?” his voice raised, echoing against the close trees and back into his head.

"Why, and don't give me that bullshit that I never stopped long enough, you seem to know enough about me." He finished his voice on the verge of crackling out of him, just so angry with her.

“You know what” he said tossing his cigarette in her general direction. “Instead of bothering to come up with an excuse, do something right for a change and put that out” he snarled as he turned his back on her, wings expanded from his back, curling around his chest, head just barely stick from the curve around the top.

“And for that matter, just leave me alone” he said as he walked back to his parents grave.

He knelt down and touched the lettering of their names, almost cursing them under his breath for all that they have destined him to, but knowing at the same time his future is what ever he makes it to be.

“Goodbye” he said quietly, wings extending, flapping lifting him from the ground heading back towards the entrance to this place leaving her far behind him, and hopefully just in his memories.

He landed just about a mile from the tavern. His eyes still black and for the moment, he felt no need to change that fact. He knew deep inside that the people he once knew, the people that once knew him will have seen the dramatic change that occurred. He didn’t know quite what to expect from them, and in some portions of his mind, he didn’t exactly care. It came down to the point of either accepting him, or getting the fuck out his way…

As he continued to walk, he finally arrived at the entrance to the tavern, feeling just a bit better about his experience now just ready to get back to those he cared for. Pushing open the door, his wings folded neatly behind him as he walked in.

“Hello everyone, I’m back” he said walking up to the bar stool sitting down waiting to get something to drink.

((ooc: this is where if anyone so chose to join in they could. Otherwise it's just going to end here...Hope you enjoyed a twisted view of some reality mixed with a little fantasy...Be well, A/all))

Adewen

Adewen Morgan wasnt like alot of the people around her. She was human as far as she knew, but at times she wondered about her abilty to heal with touch, or throw things across a room when she was angry or upset. Adewen had gone online and looked up other people with supposed abilitys like hers but hadnt met with anyone about it.

She stayed on in her adopted parents Casey and Joe Morgan's home after they died a in a car crash. Her home was in the forrest not far from the cemetary, and nearly abandoned town.

Adewen worked at the Tavern surving drinks to what ever travilers happened to pass by on there way thru. She stood 5ft 4in and weghs around 120lbs her hair is a light blonde pale enough that it almost look's white in color braided down to the middle of her back, her eyes are light blue.

Adewen was taking a picture of beer, four glass's and two bottles of bud over to one of the tables in the back when the door was pushed open and a.. well she didnt know what he was.. she had never seen anything like him before, walked in and announced that he was back, and walked over to sit down at the bar..

He was nude, burned horrably in places, he had wings, and was dirty save where the rain had washed away some of the dirt. It took her mind a moment to even regester that much. She quickly set down the tray she had carried otherwise she would have spilt it all over the place. She accepted the money for the drinks and noticed that she wasnt the only one who was watching the.. the ..guy who had walked in. Nearly everyones attention was on him.

Adewen moved forward and it seemed to break some of the spell that seemed to be over alot of the people in the bar. Most of the ones at the bar moved away from him and others attempted to start back up there own conversations.

She decided to be brave and moved up near him but not too close, and prayed some of the dumber guys in the bar who normally started fights were smart for one night and left this guy alone. umm excuse me?.. Can i get you anything? she asked and waited for his responce.

He looked around the rather empty tavern compared to what it was when he had left. There was not a doubt in his mind that the peopled had changed, he had changed, but the one thing that didn't....Was the Tavern.

The old warn out bar top, still slightly dusty, dreary and in need of serious repair. The once golden finish that allowed various customers to rest there weary elbows while sipping thier ale, thier whisky, had all but turned back into the silver it truely was. That didn't change to any shock of his own

Eternal often felt that the Tavern was just a place to escape for him, escape the mondain tasks of everyday life, but it turned out to be more then that. It turned out to be his home away from home. He himself had a room on the top floor of the tavern, a place where he could have walked out and just enjoyed the evening air if he so choose to.

He however did come to his senses to notice the strange new person in the tavern, short in stature but well put together. She was new, very new, he thought to himself.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked. His tone was aggitated, almost to the point of being rude.

Adewen didnt jump when he spoke nore did she back down tho she had to admit she thought about just leaving him be. Tho if she didnt pay too much attention to how he looked, and just concetrated on his voice he sounded pretty much like any other joe who came into the bar, short tempered and rude.

My name is Adewen and i work here. Who are you? she said wondering for a moment if she were being brave or stupid. Who ever he was he probably wanted to be left alone, and looked like he'd been thru a hell of alot and if she were him would probly be pissed off too.

Seeing the bartender heading there way Adewen noted his signal for her to go see to some of the other tables, and waited only long enough to see if he would reply before moving away to take care of the few other's who were in the bar.

Eternal just took a moment to think about the brashness of this one named Adewen. He knew she was new to the area, he had never seen her before, but the audacity of her just put him off guard if only for a moment.

He shook off the feeling and finally got back to his senses, nodded to his old bartender friend that he had known now for number of years. His final destination, his room.

Now keep in mind, Eternal had lived here for quite some time so he had a nice place here. Nicer then most others who had just generally frequented the tavern and inn. The room was large enough for a king sized bed, four corner posts the whole deal made of some of the riches mohagany he had ever seen.

Eternal was the funny type, even before his change into demon. He didn't let that many if any at all into his room, let alone his private bath. He walked through the door, just happy to once again have the creature thrills of home. The white marble counter top, the dark cherry vanity and mirror which the circumfrence of which is laced with gold and diamonds.

The stand alone shower, surrounded by glass, the golden trim of of the glass still shined as bright as it did when he left.

"Home" he said outloud, his voice echoing off the empty walls.

He looked at his body, the shifting and changes that had happened to him while he was out in the woods, rediscovering himself.

"What the fuck" he thought, more out of desperation of needing the shower then concern for his own body.

And shower he did, his shower lasted so long, he didn't even remember it running out of hot water. He stepped out, dried off and grabbed some of the few remaining clothes that he did have and headed back downstairs to the main area.

He didn't necessarily want to deal with anyone, but he had no choice. He sat down in his normal spot at the bar, the one reserved almost by his ass prints in the seat.

"Beer, I need a beer" he said loudly, voice powerful, echoing across the room.

Adewen

Adewen was just getting ready to leave the bar for the evening and head home as her shift was over when she noticed Eternal comming back down the stairs. The bartender Joseph had given her his name and warned her not to talk to him unless he talked to her first. She was ok with that as she had decided it best to leave him be anyway.

She studied him as he moved across the floor to the bar stool he had exited earler. He was dressed this time and looked like he had taken a shower most of his scars save for the ones on his face were covered by his clothing, and it looked as tho he had made slits in the clothing for his wings to fit thru, and she immagined it must have been a pain in the ass to get dressed.

His hair was long sholder length and black the kind most women want to run there fingers threw and most men want to cut because it gets in there way. His face from what she could see of it had a chisled look about it and bore a 5 o'clock shadow. She couldnt see his eyes as he was sitting down now, and had turned to face the bar.

She shook her head as she slipped her jean jacket on over her clothing. Hearing Etrenal yell for a beer, as she walked out the door she was glad that it was Joseph who was serving him and not her. Adewen had changed in the restroom from her waitress uniform into a pair of bluejeans, boots, and a light blue tangtop over which she wore a white button up blouse.

Adewen was glad the rain had slowed to a drizzle as she had walked to work and was walking home. On the way she planned on stopping by the cemetary so that she could visit her parents graves. She took a deep breath and inhailed the evening air she had always liked the way it smelled after it rained.

Adewen made her way down the path to the cemetary, and slowed her pace as she entered.. She carefully picked her way along the rows making sure not to step on any of the graves until she came to her parents. Slowly she knelt down infront of the graves and begain pulling up some of the weeds that had begun comming up around the headstones.

Casey, and Joe she missed them alot it wasnt easy being on her own.. in fact at times it was down right lonely, but hey who was she to complain some people had less she thought. Well mom, dad .. it wasnt too bad of a night.. a strange one, but not bad. This guy..i am not sure what else he is, but his name is Eternal, and he came into the bar.. to bad you wernt still here you probably new him. Most of the people in the bar seemed to. Tho they all kept there distance exept for the bartender Joseph, but then Joseph knows pretty much everyone. I miss you guys so much, and wish i could have gotten to you in time...and i am sorry i wasnt here to help..

Adewen got to her feet and brushed off her legs, she was determend not to give in to tears, they had been gone almost three years now. She had been in school when the accident happend but she couldnt help but wonder if she had been there, or had gotten to them sooner if she could have healed them.

She begain walking heading in the direction of her home leaving the cemetary behind not paying attention to much of anything weaving her way in and out of the bushes and branches that tugged at her clothing looking down at the ground lost in her own thoughts knowing the way home by heart when she came across a strange looking blade laying on the ground, and not far from it another identical to the first. They were at least 8'' in lenght and looked stained with something.

Adewen looked around wondering who had left them here and wether she should leave them be incase they came back for them or not. She decided to pick them up and take them with her, knowing her luck if she left them someones kid may find them. She took off her jean jacket and carefully picked them up by there handles wrapping them in the coat so she didnt accidently cut her self with them, and stood up.

Looking around she took a moment to get her barings and new she was only a few muinets walk more from her home and continued on.

All Eternal wanted was a beer, a cold golden ale in a nice big mug. He got what he was asking for finally.

"Here you go old friend." Joe told him with a smile as he slid the golden brew down the bar top into his waiting hands.

"Thanks Joe." Eternal quickly replied.

And this was not the first beer that he had ever had, but at the same time it was the first one he's had since leaving the Tavern a few short months ago. He thought he wouldn't be able to drink it down, the smell was something he had forgotten all about. Boy did he prove himself wrong on that one as he chugged most of it down his gullet and into his stomach.

He took the mug and slid it back down to Joe with still about a quarter of the mug left to drink.

"That's unlike you, Eternal" Joe said as he took the mug and quickly washed it clean.

"As a matter of fact, you've changed. Quite a bit, since we've last seen you. What gives?" Joe asked as he leaned against the bar top.

"Not now old friend, I need to find out how to get rid of these." he said pointing to his back, his wings unfurling as if on que to some mental stimulation.

"I'm sure we can figure something out" Joe said, patting his old friend on the shoulder.

"Thanks, and right now the only thing I want is sleep." Eternal responded in kind.

He headed towards the direction of the stairs, Eternal knew that if anyone had or could find a way to get those things off his back Joe would.

When he went into his room, he just stripped of all his clothes and landed on top of the bed. He was to tired, worn out and right now a little tipsy from just one drink of the golden brew that he never remembered being so strong.

The dreams, well nightmares came quickly to Eternal as he drifted off in record time.

Lakai (La-kay)
5'4"
140lbs
Natural hair color: Brown
Natural eye color: Brown
Race: Human (sorta)

Special abilities: Lakai can blend in with her environment. Anything that is made from nature she can camouflage against, what she is wearing or holding (if it is made of natural materials) can also be camouflaged with her. Meaning if the tavern’s walls are wood, she can lean against them and take on the same colors of the wood, though her body would still be there. She can’t lean against a brick wall and be the color of the brick wall though. Natural elements. Trees, grass, rock, mud. . .etc. NOT water. She uses her skill when she feels it is necessary to either protect herself, or eaves drop (which she does quite often). Lakai is not sure how she arrived at the woods. All she recalls is that she was taken by force from her home, used by her abductor until she passed out. Upon awakening she found herself wrapped in a blanket and in some forest she doesn’t recognize.

IC:

The sound of crunching feet brought Lakai out of her rest and she rolled to her stomach, pulling her blanket with her. She opened her eyes and watched several people of various shapes and sizes move through the woods. Her cotton blanket helped to hide the natural curves of her shapely limbs as did her unique ability to take on the same color of her leafy bed. The villagers and farmers went about their gathering never taking notice of Lakai. She noted they were scouring the forest floor for something. Herbs? Mushrooms? Bugs? She didn’t know, nor really care, what worried her was the fact she was on the ground and they were moving in her direction.

With one hand she reached out and plucked a stick from the small brush pile to her right. She waited till she felt it safe to move and slung the stick to the east of her direction. Just as she hoped the group froze and turned immediately toward the crashing sound. Lakai took that opportunity to quickly abandon her nest and dart out toward the west of the forest. Her blanket was clutched in her hands and her body was exposed to the elements of the world. It changed back to the natural tanned hue she was most known for until she came to the edge of the woods.

Once there, she made a snap decision to head toward the nearest building. Outside of it she noticed a woman bending over several large tubs of frothy water. She watched her as she wrapped and knotted the blanket around her lithe figure. Lakai hadn’t had time to absorb her new surroundings, before the woman turned. She met the curious gaze she was tossed with one of her own less hostile ones. “You look like a lost doe,” the woman chastised and left her work to come to Lakai’s side.

Lakai stepped back, her face growing pale. The woman smiled softly, then pointed out a pile of clothes. “Take what you need and then go tell Joe you need a place to rest and a meal.”

Lakai’s eyes grew wider and she eyed the offered pile of clothing. She took a step toward it, then another. When she reached the clothes, she grabbed the first thing on the top and pulled it over her head. The simple dress of brown, fell to her knees and she hugged her belly just as it grumbled. “Joe?” she asked.

“Yes, Joe. He’ll be serving drinks and will have something for you to eat if you ask.”

Lakai nodded her head and stepped into the back room of what she assumed was a Tavern. She immediately smelled the yeast of beer and a hint of some sort of stew. A man glanced toward her. “Hello Lakai. We’ve been expecting you.”

Lakai again blinked with eyes full of shock. “Joe?” she asked. He smiled and dipped into a pot, filled a bowl with food and set it on a table. A mug of beer appeared next to it and she wrinkled her nose, but thanked him and took a seat.

“Eat up. You’ll be expected to start working back here until you’re ready to help up front.” Joe left her then to disappear into what Lakai assumed was the main room for the patrons. She stared at her food and slowly began to eat, pushing the beer away; instead drinking the broth from her stew.

Questions rolled in her mind and she wondered, where she was and why everyone seemed to know her, but she did not know them. A shudder of fear traveled up her spine and made her shudder violently. Who would have answers for her? Or would she never learn the truth?

Eternals dreams had never been well exactly normal to say the least. He often dreamt of things that had happened to him during his past life, he didn't quite know what his past lives were, or could understand what the dreams meant to him, but they must have been something for him to keep dreaming them.

This time it was quite different, it was phsyically painful for him during this dreaming session, well nightmare session anyhow. He was strapped face down on a table of sorts, arms spread wide on either side of him held down by large leather straps, keeping him from any type of movements at all. His legs were bound together, tightly around the ankles, those same types of leather straps holding him down, keeping him pinned.

As he layed there, all he could think about and wonder was, what was about to happen, what could have happened. Those types of thoughts, you know that any even normal person would wonder. Then he found out what was going on, and it scared the living hell out of him.

He heard the sounds of footsteps behind him, approaching, not just one but two sets of footsteps one female the other male. He knew something wasn't right when he felt the hand upon his back where his wings once were.

"He's not healing properlly." the female voice said her voice had been filled full of concern for Eternal.

"Your right, we need to find out why before it's to late." the male said his voice full of desperation.

Now at this point he started to wake up, he knew something was going to happen he just didn't know when, how and where. Maybe this was a sign from somewhere not to follow through with loosing his wings.

The screams of his voice echoed through out his room, and he was pretty damn sure when he settled down that it could have been heard through-out the rest of the tavern and inn.

"What the hell?" he asked quietly sitting up in his bed. He looked down at the once white sheets, that were now crimson red.

Adewen's home was much like alot of the others in the area it was an old two storie 4 bedroom victorian style house painted white with a wrap around porch, on which hung a wooden swing.

Adewen made her way up the steps and took her keys out of her pocket with one had while she cradled her jean jacket and the daggers in the opistit arm. She opened her front door and entered the small little walk way or entrance way that opened up into a large living room.

She layed her keys down on a small thin desk in the entrance way that held a basket for her mail along with her phone, and closed the door behind her.

She checked to see if she had any messages and as ushual there were none, sighing softly she carried the daggers into the living room and set them down on the coffee table for the moment figuring that they would be fine there until she got done with her bath.

Adewen streatched and looked around her house, it really was much to large for just her but it was home and she loved it. She walked over to the fireplace and looked in the mirror above the mantle. There was a vase and on ether side of the vase were photos, of Casey and Joe, and some from the time she came to live with them on.

There were three exits out of the livingroom aside from the front entrance way. One lead further back into the kitchen and out onto the back porch, while the one to the right lead down a hall to the full bath and two bedrooms.

The one to the left lead to an extreamly large dinning room, that also held the stairs leading to the upper two bedrooms and half bath. All of the furnature in the house had been passed down thru Casey and Joes family and was all in the old victorian or french style, and had been kept in good repair over the years.

The only things Casey and Joe had updated aside from the plumbing and electricity was to put tile down in the kitchen and bathroom's so that it was easer to clean. 90% of the floors were still all hard wood with large floor space rugs down where the furnature set.

Adewen made her way to the bathroom and begain running water in the large clawfooted tub..

Lakai was just finishing the dishes the old woman had set her to doing when there was a loud scream. She jumped back, squealing and sending bubbles everywhere, soaking her dress and dropping the mug she’d been scrubbing. The sound of the thick glass hit the floor, creating a thud and sending a chip of glass skittering across the floor. She muttered a soft curse, dropped to her feet and searched out the shard of glass. Eventually she found it and gasped as it slipped easily into her palm. “Damn,” she hissed, sat down on her knees and pulled the sliver out, then tossed it into the trash can behind her.

Scrambling to her feet, she searched out a towel and cleaned up the water and soap that had splashed on the floor. The door to the kitchen opened and she glanced up from her slippery spot on the floor and looked up to see Joe. “I’m sorry,” she told him as she rose from the floor and tossed the mug in the trash. “I’ll pay for it.”

Joe chuckled. “No, no. . .Lakai, no need to think such a thing. I need you to run a meal up to Eternal’s room.”

“Eternal?” she asked.

“Yes, he’s a friend of mine and has a room upstairs. He’s awake. I’m sure you heard him.”

Lakai nodded her head. “I’ll change and head right up.”

Joe smiled told her where she’d find Eternal and left her to find another set of clothes to wear. Latai returned to the backyard of the Tavern and plucked a blouse and a skirt from the line that had been strung for wet laundry to hang and dry in the breeze. She darted back inside, pausing when she noticed a pair of worn, shoes resting on the steps. Thinking to herself, she grabbed those and headed to the bathroom to change. Once she was finished, she found a long piece of twine and wrapped it around her waste, tied it. Her skirt now hugged her waste more comfortably and she slipped on the shoes, which to her surprise fit her perfectly.

“This is all so strange,” she muttered as she brushed her brown curls with her fingers and headed back to finish the task Joe had set before her. She poured soup into a bowl, set it on a tray, along with crackers and a mug of beer, as well as milk. She didn’t know if this Eternal would expect anything but beer, being a Tavern and all, but she figured she didn’t want to disappoint or upset him. After all he was her boss’s friend and that meant she’d keep her job if she kept him content.

Lakai made her way up the steps and down the hall. She past several rooms, then found the one where Eternal was supposed to be. She knocked softly on the door with her toes, not wanting to chance balancing the tray with hand. There was no sound, so she kicked the door a little harder, and patiently waited to be let in.

He heard the soft knock on the door, but choose not to respond hoping that whomever it was would have just gone away. He stood and turned his head to look at the bloody sheets. The only thing he could do was shake his head.

Eternal made his way into the bathroom and something caught his attention in a quick way. Scars, new scars had formed against his chest, arms and front of his neck.

"What the..." and before he could finish the knock came a little louder against the door.

"Hold on a damn minute." He yelled through the room.

He grabbed the closest towel from the wall and proceeded to wipe away the excess blood that had formed on his body. Most of it by now had dried and all he had managed to do was, well nothing. By the time he had gotten to trying to wipe it clean most of it had dried and stuck like leaches to his chest.

"ugh." he simply said throwing the towel down in disgust and headed for the door.

He grabbed the knob and opened the door quickly. He looked to the left not seeing anything he turned his head to the right and saw her standing there.

Now keep in mind, Eternal never forgot a face that he ever met along the way. Names on the other hand may have escaped him but faces he always seemed to remember, and he could also remember where he met them. Her on the other hand, he couldn't remember her face, but something about her, something perhaps an aura that surrounded her felt oddly familiar to him. He simply shrugged it off in his mind as the change to his body, and the pain that he suffered from that.

"Can I help you?" he asked, knowing why she was here already by the tray that she carried.

Adewen had finnished up her bath and got dressed back in her bluejeans and light blue tangtop. She left off the white over shirt, as well as her socks and boots she was home so she could walk around however she wanted.

Her white blonde hair still damp she towel dryed it as she made her way out to the living room where she had left the daggers on the coffee table. Sitting down on the sopha she layed the towel down beside her, and slowly unwrapped the daggers from her jean jacket so that she could inspect them.

There didnt seem to be much specal about them that she could tell accept for what seemed to be a permenant stain on the ends. Deciding not to take any chances she moved into one of the bedrooms down stairs that she had begun recently to turn into a study or office space rather than an extra bedroom. So far all she had accomplished was moving the bed out and putting a desk in.

Walking over to the desk she noticed the key was still in the key hole of the bottom door on the left hand side. Opening the door she layed the blades carefully inside, and closed the door locking them up she slid the key into the back pocket of her jeans.

Moving back out to the living room she picked up her jean jacket as well as the towel she had used to dry her hair and took them back into the bathroom putting them in the hamper.

Deciding to grab a bite to eat she went to the kitchen and made a turkey sandwich, and got a can of Dr. pepper. She walked out onto the front porch and sat down on the swing to enjoy the view and eat.

Her face paled as she stared at the man before her. The long scars, some that looked fresh or at the most newly stretched and opened made her shudder. “I. . . I’m . . .Joe, no I mean I’m Lakai,” she swallowed her words and stepped back. “I mean, Joe sent me up here to give you this,” she indicated the tray and the rolling steam of soup.”

He stepped back and she crossed the threshold. Her fingers gripped the tray tightly and she wanted nothing more than to blend into her environment and disappear, but fought the instinct and remained true to her natural hue. She glanced quickly away and found a place to set the tray, before turning back and gawking at the wings that emerged from the man’s back.

She noticed him staring back at her and she blushed for her blatant show of curiosity. “I’m sorry. . .It’s just. Are those. . .” she didn’t finish the words. “Never mind. Do you need any help?” she asked, hoping to make up to Joe’s friend and gain his favor. She really didn’t want to offend him. She need this job, or whatever it was she had stumbled into.

“I can sew,” she suddenly said and then found herself confident in her statement. She really could sew and with that knowledge Lakai smiled as if she had suddenly lit on a special secret that no one else knew. She would figure out where she was and why, it would just take time.

He leaned against the door jam to support himself, suddenly feeling weak and tired from lack of a good night sleep, or good afternoon sleep as the case were and food. He inhaled deeply through his nose, the smell intoxicating, her presence, somewhat nerving, but still pleasent enough to deal with.

He couldn't help but a light hearted chuckle as she stammered for the words to come out.

"Yes, they are scars" he said nonchalantly as if it were something normal, that people shouldn't have been bothered with. He stepped a couple steps closer, eyes moving between her and the food unable to decide which one held his interest more.

He didn't quite know what to make about her sewing comment, did he really look that bad that he needed stiched up, or was it what she meant from it, she could sew clothing.

"I take it Joe sent you up didn't he." he asked quietly as he put the empty glass of milk back down the tray, bumping into her accidently. "Sorry about that."

Lakai nodded her head. “That’s what I said. . .isn’t it?” She curled her brow as she thought of what she’d said when she came in. “I said I was Joe, then I fixed that and said I was Lakai. . .” she thought harder. “Yep, I said Joe sent me up here.” She blew a puff of air from her lungs and grinned. “For a moment there I thought I’d lost it.”

She wasn’t sure why she was suddenly trying to feel the silence with random chit chat, but she was and felt her skin grow warm with the knowledge. She nodded her head to the food. “You eat up.”

Her gaze glanced at his bed and then back at him. “I’ll clean this place up while you do.” She walked over to the bed, tsking to herself as she stared at the bloody sheets. “What were you doing?” she asked, as she peeled the sheets off and rolled them into a bundle.

“That woman down stared just spent all morning hanging the laundry out. I bet she’s not going to be real happy about doing more. Is there anything you need, Eternal?” she asked as she turned back around and faced him. The soiled linen served as her champion against the winged man before and the odd feelings that were pitching their way against her insides. She tilted her head and studied him. “Have we met?” she asked, stepping closer and eyeing him with obvious curiosity.
