I once read a story where the husband sends wife to fill in as the partner(or maybe wife) to his boss. They enjoy the evening. Then there is another event and the guy asks the husband for the wife again because now everyone thinks the guy and wife are married.

I believe one of the guys was named "Richard".
I also remember a dialogue, not accurate to the word -

(This happens when the guy and wife are on some trip)
"Did you give me off to those teenagers?" the woman said, smiling. "You know I'm not yours to give away."
