A popular girl (cheerleader)? sneaks in to the house of another boy across the street and has sex with him (something is mentioned about leaving his window open to air out the room after the sex, he responds that his mother knows he masturbates, she insists that the mother would be able to tell). This happens for a while and, although it is secret, she helps the boy become more popular. He has some other relationships including one with a virgin (name hannah or haley?) who is a good friend of the original girl. At the end of the story, he ends up in a real relationship with the first girl who it turns out always actually did have romantic feelings for him (not just about the sex) although couldn't admit it before. At some point she mentions how she had to listen the the other girl describing how the boy took her virginity really well, while thinking about how she had lost her virginity to a guy that didn't try to please her at all.
