Quite a few TV shows and movies and probably books have done stories about those who write stories. But how about here? Has anybody done stories about an erotica writer and where they get their ideas ... maybe by acting them out?

I don't know if anybody has done it before, but as I wrote in another post, so what? Having him act it out is a great idea. Try writing it in the first person. I'm tempted to try it myself, but I'm kind of bogged down right now with other stuff.

Yes stories like that have been published here before; quite a few of them have also been retracted again (possibly because of giving away too much personal information, practically amounting to self-doxing).

I have a Lit story where a traveling businessman lets his hotel maid know that he is a Lit author. She decides to give him an experience worth writing about.

That's exactly the point of my unloved Story of My Fucking Life tragedy. All the author's smutty writings are acted-out, so appealing and insane. Don't try this at home.

Every story that disappears from here is not withdrawn by its author.

Only the author really knows the true reason. The standards here can be quite confusing.

I posted my first story here 17 usernames and 20 years ago. Many are still here, many more have been deleted by the owner or her staff (probably robot staff). None in my mind broke a posted rule when they were submitted. Sometimes the rules changed. Coming-of-age stories were deleted to placate politically active hypocrites. The definition of "Loving Wives" became "Misogynists Rule!" The definition of "sex" was expanded from an active verb to a passive one.

Incest used to be sexual intercourse between two people too closely related to marry. Then the "watching sex equals having sex" rule meant that an adult who walked in on her parents having sex was engaging in incest with both of them. Universalizing this concept leads to a ridiculous idea that seems to have taken hold... That everything is forbidden, but those with authority can pick and choose what to permit and what to ban.

I run a business. I get what is going on. Posting is easy, it permits a lot of stories to be posted. "Rules" are vague to appease the easily offended. Then when a complaint is made by some wimp who doesn't like the idea that other people enjoy something that he doesn't complains, the entry is simply removed. It doesn't matter that all the story did was offend some mental 12-year-old.

I first wrote about my fictional heroine-- a porn star who becomes a real-estate mogul and a local politician who directs films with her adult children as the actors a decade before someone else first ran for elective office. Well before he said that he wanted to fuck his adult daughter. She isn't based on him. But as a contentious election loomed 43 stories she appeared in were cut.

Supposedly the Constitution forbids ex post facto laws.

I know, that doesn't apply to erotic literature sites. Still, it would be nice if once a story is posted, it should stay there. There might be exceptions where something really big was missed - and somebody complained about it. But generally, my attitude is, "Tough, you had your chance to reject it, now it's too late."

But, it isn't my site.

we seem to be wandering off Story Ideas into Author's Hangout territory. to which end see this thread:

https://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1545753

the basic concept of a story about a writer of stories is familiar, but new varoants always good.

Sorry, even after a cup of (Guatamalan Huehueten) coffee I don't see where arguing "balls and strikes" (whether something was inside of or outside of the line) or the "18 rule" was discussed.

Taken literally, banning all stories with "political" content eliminates all stories with more than one human character. (OED: Politics (from Greek: Πολιτικά, politiká, 'affairs of the citizens') activities associated with making decisions, or other forms of relations between individuals...)

This thread ain't 'bout no rulz.

Dat be gud cuz der taint any.

There used to be-- any maybe still is, I cannot recall the title or author-- a cute story on this site about female reporter who tracks down a famous writer of lesbian fiction. The famous author had not written anything in several years and the reporter wanted to ask why.

The author insisted they meet at a bar and then they had dinner and took a walk ending up in a fancy hotel where they-- guess what!-- had sex. Long story short-- the author had made enough money to be comfortable and doing it was more fun than writing about doing it.

It would be interesting though to see it through an author's eyes, does he or she write relating from experiences or fantasies or what they see around them or where they get the inspiration from
