A stolen Submission....?

I noticed yesterday that in the Humor & Sattire Section that there is a submission called Cybersex - this has been taken from another website (www.castlerealm.com) or one like it and changed to fit the title. It has been posted on castlerealm for about 2 or 3 YEARS!!!!! It disappoints me to find it here where the majority of us work at making stories that are entertaining, erotic and most of all... original!

What happens when a submission is stolen from another source?

It's called plagiarism. The webmasters here are very good with it. Give them a day or two and they'll get the whole thing sorted out and the perpetrator ousted. However, the writer of the story at Castlerealm could be the same person who submitted the story here. It will be sorted, and soon!

I went back to castlerealm and re-read the submission there, and there are some changes listed there, as it has been modified by jade (a sub, who died in 1999), to fit the genre of that site. It is much funnier over there as it includes "props"

Jade adapted the story, which means she took someone else's work and renovated it to fit with the sbu/dom thing. That doesn't mean she owns it. The copyright on this particular piece is going to be confusing, and I would suggest an email to the webmasters at Lit who will then start talks with the webmasters at castlerealm, if they haven't already done so.

Sugarlips - thanks for bringing this to our attention. As KM said, we try to be very diligent about possible plagiarism. After reading your comments, we have decided to suspend the story from the site pending a response from the person who submitted it. Hopefully, it's just a case of someone submitting to both sites, but we'd rather be safe than sorry.
