I got this off of another forum. So here are the rules...

Someone posts a segment of a song (no artist or title) then the next poster must...

1. Guess the correct title and/or artist (original artist or one who has remade the song as long as the person sang that song).
2. Post a segment of another song starting with the last word from the previous post as the beginning word for the next song.

Example:

Poster A said:
Well my heart knows me better than I know myself
So I'm gonna let it do all the talking.
I came across a place in the middle of nowhere
With a big black horse and a cherry tree.

I felt a little fear upon my back
He said "Don't look back, just keep on walking..."

Poster B would reply something like this...

Poster B said:
KT Tunstall ~ Big Black Horse and a Cherry Tree

walking, and that's just what they'll do
one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you.

You keep lying, when you oughta be truthin'
and you keep losin' when you oughta not bet...

Anyone want to play? Just guess the above title and/or artist, pick it up from "bet", and choose where the next song stops. :)

And I think I know the artist, but I'll be damned if I can come up with a title, or even think of another song that begins with Bet...

Doesn't have to begin with "bet" that word just has to be in the next song somewhere...so you can pick up a song from the beginning...middle...towards the end. Where ever the previous word is at in the song you choose. ;)

Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

Yes, well, I meant the beginning of a line. I didn't want to start in the middle of a paragraph or something.

And come to think of it, I couldn't think of any songs with Bet in them at all...

Tomorrow ~ Annie

...none
and ripped them away

She was queen for about an hour
after that shit got sour
she took all I ever had
no sign of guilt
no feeling of bad

TGP, you pick it up where ever the word is at, rather it is at the beginning of a line or not. ;)

Whats that
So I say it again
You gotta be bad to be good
In the dead of the night

Gawd, I'm such an 80s metalheal. Now, where's my spandex.

Bad To Be Good ~ Poison

...night
When you dressed up sharp and you felt alright
It don't seem the same since cosmic light
Came into my life, I thought I was divine
I used to drive around with a chick who'd go
Listen to the music on the radio

You gave them all those old time stars
Through wars of worlds - invaded by Mars
You made 'em laugh - you made 'em cry
You made us feel like we could fly

Space Station #5 ~ Iron Maiden

... sun refused to shine
Never thought I'd have to pay so dearly
For what was already mine

For such a long, long time
We made mad love
Shadow love
Random love
And abandoned love

Accidentally Like a Matyr, Warren Zevon

...love in the world for you, girl
take my hand and we'll make it through this world

Hush little baby, my poor little thing
You've been shuffled about like a pawned wedding ring
It must seem strange, love was here then gone
And the Oklahoma sunrise, becomes the Amarillo dawn
What's important in this life
Ask the man who's lost his wife

Thumbelina, Pretenders

wife.

At times like this I lose my head and think of her.
Empty space always ask for filling.
I wonder why I never stopped to marry her.
It wasn't 'cause she was not more than willing.

But the waitin' feel is fine
