Let's make this a Social Studies lesson for the Yanks et al here....

Some basics for the foreigners here:

The 2015 Canadian federal election (formally the 42nd Canadian general election) will be held on October 19, 2015 to elect members to the House of Commons of the 42nd Parliament of Canada.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper requested writs of election for a federal general election from Governor General David Johnston on August 2. The date of the vote is determined by the fixed-date Canada Elections Act.

At eleven weeks, the campaign will be the longest in modern Canadian history.

Discuss!

I think I'll run for some Canadian office this time. What would be a good one? I'm thinking of trying to be Director of First Nation Oppression.

I've got some great ideas for holding those cunts down for another few years.

I can name 4 of the provinces and at least two provincial capitals - that makes me an expert on Canada, so I'm qualified.

Kathleen just signed an accord with the natives...so, thats the end of the oppression...nothing left for you to direct

OK, Mulcair just said he would raise an income supplement for seniors...He doesn't know by how much, or what it will cost, but he will let us know later.

A truly great leadership possibility:rolleyes:

We've lost a lot of fun since the electoral law was changed to keep out the Rhinoceros.

The best we've had to replace it is Little Stevie Harper, but he's protecting us from voter fraud by not letting "certain" people vote.

Yes.... 5 Parties!

Here are our 5 Party leaders....
