A smile for Election Day '03 & beyond

I had submitted this poem to three local newspapers
here in CT and one of them finally printed it on 10/29/03 It's
a little poem I wrote for Election Day......and even though
most of the elections are local this year (maybe some
state ones elsewhere)........everyone should go cast
their vote tomorrow, 11/4!

Election time is drawing nearer
Time to go look at yourself in the mirror
Voting is no easy task
So may I ask
To everyone and especially my generation
In this here state and across the nation
Can you please cast your ballot the Fourth of
November?
One vote can make a difference, from
what I remember.
Read up on your local candidates
With your family, friends, or roommates
Whether be newspaper or the Internet
Being informed is a sure bet
So get out there on Election Day to vote
Before you have to pull on your wool winter coat!

I must admit Fair Tigerjen that I doth like thy poem. Wounded and all I will be leaving soon to go and do my duty, which I think I did more than my fair share. I just have to snowblow the driveway first.
