I'm looking for a science-fiction story I read some years ago:
In the future, a woman leaves the Earth to become the mate of a very big alien. She gradually gets some body transformations to better fit her mate's body. He gives her a special garnment (vest/harness) to keep her impaled on him for hours, without effort.
