Every man who places an ad here looks for a woman, who excites him; who turns him on. And the same applies the other way around. Except maybe a little more so to men, because it's the man who must produce an erection when the two go to bed with one another. Mother Nature had something in mind, after all, when she made most women attractive, in one form or another.
I'll try to describe here first, which factors drive excitement for me. Since I am a sapiosexual human being, the first thing I look for is how your brain seems to tick. Of course I cannot possibly diagnose you like a neurologist, nor give you an IQ test. Besides, such results would not matter to me anyway. What matters is, how your intelligence acts or works on me, plain and simple.
Do you in fact (seem to) understand my ad? Is it your natural desire to say something about it in your reply? After all, I spent a while writing it, so reading a PM that either makes no reference to my ad at all, or simply states "nice ad" and nothing else, is not one, which turns me on.
When I reply to a "female" post, which sends out a signal to me: go write me a PM, I respond also with some references to the (apparent) personality I read out of the woman's posts. So I expect the same in return. I am afraid when I claim that I am looking for an intelligent woman, what I really mean, at least at first glance, is a responsive woman; one who reacts to "my bait", i.e. my ad, in a way not too different fom the way a woman would, who I can like . Sorry to have to admit that, but that is just the way I tick. Now if you are honest with yourself, that is probably the way you tick also.
Come to think of it: If I react that way to you, and you react that way to me, we already tick different from the "larger" half of Lit ad writers and readers; that is my guess at least. And I have to admit one more item: I do not particularly like what I read out of most Lit ads here. It's a personal hang-up, I admit, but it exists.
Whether or not we can carry on an intellectual conversation with each other, is something more or less impossible to guestimate anyway, just via post browsing. So me getting attracted to you – the sapiosexual woman I look for – "brain-wise", is driven mainly by very selfish concerns, I don't mind admitting that.
And my guess is that you proceed more or less the same way, when you try to assess me. And I am assuming for now that the same criteria matter to you as they do for me.
So, I got the part about "mental attractions" out of the way, I believe. Next come the physical elements of attraction. Let's face it, I am a sapiosexual man, but I am also a man with erotic and horny desires. So when I look at a picture of you, I have to be able to imagine enjoying sex with you. There are countless physical signals a woman can send out, to affect such a feeling in me (or in most men, I believe).
Certainly for me, you need not have perfect tits (for me a very important part of your body). A simple expression on your face that signals to me "I like to be aroused by you" is enough. And/or "there is horniness within me, baby, please come and arouse me!"
Come to think of it, this is the main physical feature of you that I am looking for: some way of you signaling to me: "I am ready for you" (providing the preliminaries work out between the two of us). Not all that different, really, from the signaling mechanisms that work for dogs, for instance.
Meaning that neither your face needs to be particularly beautiful, nor does your "chest region" have to be endowed with the usual bait signals. All I am really hoping for, in terms of physical attractiveness in you, is this signal my disposition for you is not unlike a bitch in heat.
