He emailed me today. I've posted a WWII TV story which he said was long-winded and soft. He said that I may come across his own stories one day and then I would find out how such things should be written (Nazi's are not only used but killed).

Having no way to contact him directly I should just like to say this: your right way of writing a story is not the only right way. I purposely set out to write a gentler kind of thing that got away from the usual high-heeled slut characters this gendre is dominated by. If I suffer in any way by doing that, I don't care. I write what I want to write and have no intention of immitating anyone else.

Welcome to the wild world of the internet!

Those anonymous complaints make excellent loo paper, if you print them out on something soft. :D

i've turned off public comments and anonymous feedback on my stories ages ago. Not that I was getting particularly bad comments, but they were usually depressingly inane. Those that weren't were from people I spoke with in the forums anyway.

Anonymous comments have always been fine for me in the past, and I'm prepared to accept critisism if it makes a valid point. But the sheer conceit of this guy stuck in my craw. Who is he to say that his way of writing a story is the only acceptable way? If he was trying to make me find his stuff and read it, he's lost it. I'm not interested.
