Mr, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again, some seem to think. I disagree. As does Jacob Weisberg of Slate. I think that my differences with the Libertarian faction here at the AH are well articulated here.

Zealots always make the difference in any struggle.

During the Civil War the Florida Brigade was called "Lee's Whirlwind" and "Fanatics from Hell." From Seven Pines to the end, they were devil-dogs Lee could depend on when things were turning to shit.

At Gettysburg the Florida Brigade assaulted Cemetery Ridge AFTER Pickett was repulsed. Lee ordered them forward to save what could be saved. At Cold Harbor, Virginia, when Grant broke thru Lee's line, Lee ordered the Florida Brigade to close the hole. They did.

Towards the close of the war most of them were captured and marched to the rear. They had black guards. Along the way the black guards poked one too many with bayonets. The men then drowned all the guards and marched themselves to the union prisoner pen.

I always thought libertarians worked in libraries

Hell, labels are for cissies. if you need the comfort of a label to define your beliefs, you're probably on the wrong planet. Me, I'm Liberal in the morning, Republican when out driving, Right Wing Anarchist when trying to deal with anyone pretending they are capable of making a decision, and Socialist when I see someone in more need than me.

I don't like dogs.
