A really nice guy.

Hope he wasn't too scratched up.

Still hoping for the best for flood victims everywhere.

:rose:

Braver man than I.... 50 some years on and the pain of trying to take our 20 pound tomcat "Prancer" out onto the dock to go swimming with me.... are fresh in my mind.

As it was, I could barely lift the bastard... my principal mistake was being between him and terra firma...

I am sure the scars are still here somewhere....

Yep... braver man than I....

And undoubtedly a really nice guy.

Look how his arms (and teeth) are clenched.

And the cats look terrified.

A really good guy. :)

Seems he saved his pets - I hope he didn't lose his house. :(

I hope he and the cats made it okay. In all honesty, I would do the same kind of thing, for either my cats or some I had never seen before.

Hope he had somewhere safe and contained to put them down, too.

Great bloke.

I always have a soft spot for anyone that helps animals. I've been into fostering/rehabbing dogs for awhile now. I've somewhat gained a reputation around these parts, and local animal shelters work with me to help place the dogs I've taken in.

So IF anyone is looking for a dog, I have a great one right now. Here's a link to his bio on petfinder. http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=11184540

:D:D:D

If we didn't have so many cats we'd expand with dogs, too.

We've got the big fenced yard for it.

Our last kitty (who didn't like me at all or anyone else much) finally succumbed to the vicisitudes of old age. I fear that trying to get another kitten would simply be to condem it to death-by-terror-ier. Pepper is absolutely relentless in the assassination of anyting smaller than she is and stupidly fearless in challenging anything larger than she is.

Still, I've given some modest thought to getting another rescue rat terrier. A male should get along better with my little bitch than anything else would. And I've dreamed of Decker Giants ever since I discovered their existance. Know one that needs a home?

My little sister, who lives in Des Moines, IA, sent me this and the attached article. It would appear that these are his cats and they're named (wait for it....) Fry and Bender. :)

Yeah, I'd say he's our kinda guy!
