Anyone know a good site for posting the non-erotic side of prose? Dabbling with short stories after a long hiatus and trying to find a site to accomodate. Thanks.

Well, the non-erotic category doesn't have an erotic focus, so I'm guessing what you mean is a website that doesn't have an erotic focus? :)

I've been looking for a while. But to be quite honest, I've not found anything even half as good as Lit anywhere out there. Sure, there are other story sites, most of which appear to me to be frequented by 14-year olds writing truly horrible stories... The other thing is, Lit gets a very high number of readers compared to these other sites.

Don't underestimate the Lit readership. Sure, the reason many come here in the first place is to read erotic stories, but many of us also enjoy stories of all kinds, whether erotic or not.

Or is it just that you'd like to be able to submit your stories to a site you could tell your Granny about? :)

You could always set up your own site and post your work there. Then you have complete control over what you post and what you don't post. You can also get a hit counter per page and see how many people are visiting you. Although to host your own site, you'd need a basic knowledge of HTML, or know someone who does.

Many people will post their writing (erotic and non-erotic) in their blogs, so that's an angle you could try also. Blog postings are good because it allows readers to comment just as they do here on Lit.

But, I do agree with Lily. Lit has a diversified reading audience. Many of my readers like my non-erotic as well as my erotic stories, although the scores are lower and the views are lower also.
