I just read this on a Harry Potter site http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/

Australian Bonus PoA DVD

Several readers have let us know that with today's Australian Sun-Herald newspaper, there was a free promotional bonus Prisoner of Azkaban DVD. TLC reader Vicki reports that this bonus DVD includes the International trailer, "The making of" special that aired on television, scenes from the movie, and some additional behind the scenes footage. There are cast and crew interviews from some of the actors, well as director Alfonso Cuaron, and Producer Chris Columbus. Veritaserum now has up some transcripts from these interviews which you can read here. Click below for the highlights!:

Chris Columbus - Producer ON HARRY BEING REBELLIOUS I think it's interesting to see Harry dealing with that sense of rebellion. He's not going to take it anymore, he is not going to put up with the rules Uncle Vernon has sort of set in stone in the house. And what I loved, there was a line that was cut from the script that I loved, when Harry said to Uncle Vernon, "I'm tired of living by other people's rules." And I thought that was the heart of the film, I thought that, that's exactly what it means to be a teenager. You know, it's like those great rock 'n' role songs from the sixties - "it's my life, you can't tell me what to do." That's what I loved about this book and what I loved about what Alfonso did with it - it's that sense of rebellion. When he walks out of the Dursley house at the beginning of the movie, that's pretty powerful. The fact that he's taken a stand and he's walking away from this nonsense. You realize that you're in a different world now, these aren't kids anymore.

Tom Felton - Draco Malfoy
ON HIS CHARACTER
Well, Draco himself has matured (slightly). He's still very a annoying, frustrating, little child. I think because of the scene in the second film where my dad and I are in Borgin and Burkes, which got cut out in the final cut, but I think it explains a lot why Draco is acting like this to people who have popularity or people who have better things than him and such. I think during the film, he just opens up more and more about how and why he is like this. It's a good never-ending story why Draco is like how he is.

Rupert Grint - Ron Weasley
ON THE WHOMPING WILLOW STUNTS
That was one of my favourite scenes. When we did this scene, they had me all padded up and I was padded up with a harness on my leg and they attached all this like bungy rope stuff. And all the stunt guys were pulling me from the tree, and they dragged me into the tree and it was really fun.

And now I was wondering if any of the Australians here by any chance could get their hand on a copy of this DVD, and be convinced to snail mail it to me? I'm sure we could arrange some kind of reimbursement for your trouble ;)

I would do it for you if I was still there, but I am closewr to you now!! If no-one else can do it for you PM and I am sure I can get you a copy sent from someone I know there.

I know! We can take up a collection and I'll go to Oz and get the HP videos for everyone! The trip should only take a month or so. I'll even go down to New Zealand and clear out their supply, too! (The sacrifices I'm willing to make here..)

Flirting with Catalina, Denmark is not the only place where they have canes. In Holland we have huge canes which we are very good in using. :)

Francisco.

Who me flirt? How do one do that?? ;)

And I'm sure you know just how to wield a cane, so Catalina likes it ;)

Okay, so that's one around the world typt ticket.. Via New Mexico, Arizona, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Germany, er.. Thinking about Holland, 'cept Fransisco scares me, England, New York and home.. Good god, I'm gonna be tired.

Just call me a dumb blonde. I didn't bother to pick up my copy of the DVD with my newspaper yesterday. We own a video shop & the last thing I needed was another promotional DVD. Would have been happy to help & if the newsagent has any left I'll get one for you, but it's unlikely. Sorry.

Don't worry about it. Feel free to try and ask your newsagent though, I'll appreciate it very much :rose:

LOL, he's a pussycat.....really...can't you tell by the pic he took during a session a couple of weeks ago?!!:D

Well, we haven't yet seen it in the stores here. We suspect it's been held over to give the video rental stores an opportunity to fleece the public first.

However, we get the same edition as Australia.

ShyGuy -- have you checked out the UK edition? It may be similar. If not, just find an online source, whip out your credit card, and they will send it out I'm sure. (I order US books from Amazon that way.)

Um... don't know of any in Australia, but in New Zealand, www.realgroovy.co.nz is the one I use.

FungiUg I doubt that any internet stores sells Daily news papers, which is why I asked for help here. It's not the movie I'm after, but the free promotional DVD, that comes with the newspaper.

Perhaps one of the surest and quickest ways would be emailing the newspaper directly (email: shnews@mail.fairfax.com.au or )E-mail: helpline@heraldsun.com.au to see if they have any returns or extra's, which is normal, which they could keep for you and arrange forwarding on. Also saw on the net there was a huge poster came with it and that some have ordered the delivery of the newspaper with disc through Amazon. Apparently word is it was a Sydney only offer.

Pardon my technological ignorance on DVDs. Here is a questions. Are all DVDs in the same format. For instance VHS machines are different here in NA vs Australia. Does the same rule apply for DVD players and discs?

They have regions, but you can buy region free players now to overcome the problem.

Hmm, my copy of shrek says it'll play on US, Japanese and Candian players. Maybe Australia is the same as Europe and the like? Also, if he's playing them on the computer, he can download a translator program.

Um, as long as the majorly impactful fun is on your end. Not mine! Your back end that is.. :p But one of those ropey bras would be so pretty!

You are right about that, my dvd player is region free, so it doesn't matter what region the dvd's are in
