I ask, simply

How does one distinguish between a FANATICAL Muslim.....who is a threat to our lives..........

And a NON FANATICAL Muslim, who is innocent of dangerous acts?

And please dont tell me ONLY AFTER THE FACT!

I've very purposefully stayed away from your threads, mostly because the apparently random use of capital letters gives me a huge headache.

But I'm going to field this one in the hopes that there's some logic at work with you on this.

Answer: You can't. Further, there is no real attempt you can provide that will be compatible with the fundamental liberties the citizens of the United States enjoy.

I have many friends of many relgions, and some of them are muslim. A true muslim who follows the word of God would not raise their hand against an unarmed person. A fact which fanatical muslims overlook in their zeal for politcal gain.

I have found, personally, that most fanaticals of any type are motived not by God, but by hate and greed and use God as a tool to that end and need someone to act against.

Remember the IRS building bombing? Everyone thought it would be a sect member from somewhere else; the whole country was shocked when it was McVey, a nice homegrown boy.

You are two steps behind what the Administration is doing.

They (the murdering Muslims) keep killing us, so let's keep all of them (Muslims in general) under tight surveillance. Well, let's do it with all Arabs becaue I honestly can't tell you which Arab might be a Muslim at sight or not.

And while we're at it, we can't much trust those murdering black men either. The Uniform Crime Report shows that black males commit more murders every year than any other group in the country, so let's put them under surveillance, too.

And the white guys - you know, the Timothy McVeigh types. There's no way to tell which white male might be one gas station trip away from a bomb, so let's watch them, too.

The women? Damn, man. Remember Eileen Wournos who killed all those guys? How about the Black Dahlia? Shit, they haven't even caught her yet! I can't tell a women serial murderer from a non-killing one at sight either, so we might as well watch them, too, just in case. We might get lucky and solve an Unsolved Mystery.

No I don't see the difference. Killing is killing, regardless of the motive. What I do see is rampant overkill.

And I think we're indulging in more than our share of that already without piling on more.

I know I haven't missed any spate of terrorist attacks in the US since 9/11/01. We have the bases covered pretty well already.

Is our immigration policy screwed up? Sure it is, not because we let in too many people, but because we lack the wherewithal and the political courage to make sure that we track who comes in and goes out. That being said, once someone is in this country, they fall under the scrutiny of every person they meet, very few of whom relish the idea of being killed and who would gladly report any potential terrorist activity to their local police department. That nips things in the bud pretty nicely right there.

Historically more Mulsim's have been killed by Christains than the other way around. Which twisted their panties as much as yours are.

The US, in it's thrist for oil, paid a lot of money and made a lot of blunders in the Middle East, but the one the Muslim preists couldn't get past was the way the US "spoiled" the youth of the nations with their "godless capitalisim". It's easy to be devoted to God when you live in a wasteland. But get some cash, it's harder to stay on the true path.

The US meddled in the polical power stuggles in the Middle East to secure the oil. Civil wars occured etc due to this interference.

People; includeing women and children, died.

Everyone needs someone to focus their hate on. Just as you now are trying to get people to focus their hate on Muslims en masse, people in the Middle East focused other's hate on the US. Not as people, but as an idea that as a group they (we) were bad and harmful.

I know many followers of the Mulsim faith and they are some of the sweetest people. People cannot be judged a mass killer or a saint by what religion they follow. It is how a person 'reads' into & forms opinions about a religion. The Mulsim followers ARE NOT our enemy & should not be thought of as a threat. All Mulsims should NOT be 'kicked' out of America b/c they are Mulsim. That goes against all that America was founded on, the idea of freedom of religion.
