A question: Pump Up The Volume

is a teen flick with Christian Slater in it. I have a sound track CD of the movie.

''Everybody Knows'' is performed by Concrete Blonde. I enjoy it well enough, but in the movie, the song was much slower pace and deeper vocal.

I'm wondering if it was performed by a completely different artist or was Christian playing the record in slower rotation so that the song would go as it did.

Does anyone know the answer?

I forget the album but you can also get it from his best of

Thank you. :)

Does anyone know a site where I can down-load it?

Did you try Imesh? I just did a quick search and it seems to be there.

Doh! I hate when people beat me to answers I know! All day long I wander around stupid and confused--then someone asks a Pump Up the Volume question and I miss my chance. Curses!

Thanks guys. :)

I'll try the sites as soon as I finish down-loading the donkey porn from a news group.

I was gonna make a joke about this thread being about some stupid little teeny movie with Christian Slater in it.

Imagine my suprise that it actually is.

Btw, love Concrete Blonde. Good stuff.

Leonard Cohen writes amzing lyrics. It's a shame everyone else always sounds better singing them. lol

Oh my God, I know. After falling in love with Jeff Buckley's cover of "Hallelujah," imagine my disappointment listening to the original. The guy can write, but I think "Everybody Knows" is the only song he sounds at all decent on.
