a question out of curiosity

I’m new here at literotica. An old friend (not old by age, btw) recommended the place, and I’m pleased I followed up on her suggestion. It’s been fun to meet some people, read some stories, and post a few stories as well.

I have a question, out of curiosity and my inexperience with literotica.

I’ve posted several stories and have been intrigued by the pattern of responses. A recent story I posted has been read and rated by more than double the next most frequently rated story. Is that an indication that there is a pretty active network of people recommending stories to each other?

I’m just curious about the way(s) in which stories are found and read by those who read here.
