A Question of Etiquette

I open a door if I get to it first, or walk through and says"thanks" if someone else beats me to it. Car doors are a different animal. Everyone opens their own since I'm usually the driver and my remote opens the locks all at once. I don't expect anyone to open a car door for me, I can and do do that myself.

I always hold the door for anyone around and don't really care if someone holds it for me. But I always thank those who do!

You know what's really nice? When he not only opens the car door for you, but also waits while you get seated and then shuts the door. Not too many men do that these days.
