...seriously?
Ahhh come on Debbie, I thought you were better than this.Debbie said:Who says the PG is more friendly than the GB when this thread didn't even get a response?
I am so not surprized by the lack of answers.
At the very least the GB will give you a smartass remark.
Is the PG a bunch of snobs?
And yes, this was a serious thread meant to be not at all inflammatory.

Each to their own, surely you understand this. Both boards are so very different, attracting different people with different needs etc. You will find very few snobs on this board, but what you will find is people who don't want/need the drama of the GB.
It's all a matter of choice, after all. And I've read enough of your posts on the GB about the Playground to wonder why you even started this thread. Insomnia again hey?
Debbie said:I wasn't being a bitch or trying to stir shit.
Yes, it was very late and I was curious.
I still think the GB is more receptive than the PG.
I've seen it time and time again. Especially when a new person posts on the PG. You guys seem quite insular and not very welcoming.
Sure a newbie will get a raz, heckled, smart ass remarks and usually some welcomes on the GB.
Thank you to the other people who responded.![]()
babydoll2u said:well I didn't answer this on the GB, but I guess I will here.
I didn't answer over there because when I do, I usually either get shot down, ignored or a smart-ass comment.
No I'm not afraid to post on the GB, as I still do pretty often, but I do enjoy the PG more... I find alot of support and good friends over here.
does that answer your question?

Although I "know" more folks on the Playground side, I have to admit I've been enjoying the topics and drama on the GB very much lately!
LMAO.. is there something wrong with being twisted?yes said:Morning all....I must admit they do have some strange shit going on over there on the GB boards....some twisted people there
babydoll2u said:not true in my case... I received very few welcomes and ALOT of smart ass remarks to my posts... I still post over there once in a while... but my friendships have been established over here... ppl on the PG are much more friendly, warm and sincere than at the GB.... based on my experience over there.

In all honesty, though, I believe that many of us read there but don't post. Not that we're too fragile to handle the remarks, but it takes a long time to find where you fit in at the GB. Here, you can post what you want, and get to know people at at your leisure without the BS. No big deal, really, certain personality types just gravitate to where they feel comfortable.
To each his (or her) own... nice to meet you anyway, Debbie.

I sure hope not![]()
69Muffin said:True, very true. Any time that I so stupidly posted anything there (which was only 1 or 2 times) the response was unbelievably rude. Thoughtless, hateful, mean, vicious and spiteful are also words that come to mind. It amazes me just how many people are so unhappy that they feel the need to be miserable to everyone else, just so they can have company in their own misery. Sorry, it's just easier to be nice and happy, isn't it?
But the best way to put it what Arden says. Too much drama there, and WAY to much BS. They're welcome to it, but I'd much rather just have fun on the boards. Isn't that why we all came on here in the first place?
I agree with Arden and I do occasionally post on the GB with no problems, plus peruse some of the postings. I do not limit my Lit friends to a particular Forum (have many friends that post on the GB)--the overgeneralizations about where one posts are comical, i.e., PG posters are simpletons; GB posters are wiser/smarter. Logic like that is simply ludicrous and Lit as a whole is a diverse melting pot of personalities whom I can learn things from. How boring would this world be if our opinions/thoughts were all the same? Pretty boring vanilla, IMO.Arden said:I have enough drama in real life, I don't need to go to the GB for more on a regular basis.

I am no fragile person and don't mind a bit of sarcasm, but it seems to go to extremes on the GB on occasion. Not saying that is bad, but simply not my cup o' tea...I choose to avoid it, as a rule. If you don't like the weather--move. If you don't like what a particular thread or forum says on Lit...don't read it or move. Seems simple to me.
Also Debbie, some of us are not on the Lit Boards 24/7 as I just saw this post this morning. I wish you well Debbie and thanks for your insight.
