Peyton or Eli?

Peyton has one Superbowl win to this name; Eli has two.

Peyton has shown himself to be human this year. Eli has been ineffective to large parts of the season.

So, right now, which would you have? The guy who teases you with the promised land or the guy who has delivered it home twice?

Discuss.

You know LTR is going to be upset this thread isn't about gay sex, don't ya?

Peyton without a question. Eli is a joke artists who closed his eyes and threw the ball in the air. Just so happened his teammate caught it on his helmet.

At this point we have to assume that Peyton has at most 2 years left, and after the last few weeks even that seems a stretch. Eli has been a turnover machine the last 5 years with 96 ints and 8 fumbles. Gun held to my head I would take Eli only because he has more gas left in the tank but truth be known, there are plenty other QBs I would take ahead of both of them.

At the end, think Peyton is way better, but in the NFL it's all about rings and Eli has 2.
Just ask Marino and Kelly..

I'd take Peyton, but I'm lucky enough to have Big Ben.

I still don't understand how Eli does it with a barely over .500 record.

which would i choose?

both...with me in the middle...:D

There is an element of luck to any championship team. To think otherwise tells me you don't know sports.

Played them and watch them often. Luck is slim in any sport. Its mental, skills and preparation.

In a game measured in inches, luck - slim or otherwise - matters. Not to say that 'mental, skills and preparation' don't matter a whole hell of a lot more, but let's not insult each other's intelligence by saying it isn't a factor.

It isn't a factor once in awhile it could play a part. Nobody game prep for luck, if it was a factor they will prep for it.

You're a pedantic one.

Never picking you for my team.

Why not?
I'm probably the best athlete here. (Especially basketball) If you are ever around these parts in the summer; come watch me play in the brook. I bet you that you will change your mind.

Yeah, I don't really want to see you frolic in a brook, dude.

Cause I'm straight.

I'm straight too. Branch Brook Park Summer League. This motherfucker just tried to assassinate my character.

Eli... Hands down. Peyton's the sexier pick because of his in season stats, but he's a lucky Rex Grossman Bear's team away from being Marino Part II.

And luck is a HUGE factor in football. Look at the Giants Superbowl win against the Bills. The catch by Franco Harris. The Browns in the 1980's. The Memphis Miracle... Huge huge huge deal...

Is it luck or is it that they just had the skills to complete the play? Some people call ODB's catch lucky I just say others don't have the skill set to complete the play.

You really shouldn't drink and post.

Nah... I'm saying luck type deals. The Browns fumble at the ?2 Yard Line? against the Broncos instead of scoring and going to the Superbowl... Giants win the Superbowl because a kicker that hadn't missed that season missed. Franco Harris was in the right place at the right time. And Peyton played against Rex Grossman lol

Skill has a lot to do with it but you need some lucky bounces to get the job done.

Lol I agree Peyton was lucky to play Rex Grossman. But he would've had two rings if it wasn't for the onside kick. Now do we call that onside kick lucky? Or do we call it great preparation, right call, at the right moment? Closing your eyes and throwing the ball in the air is luck. The catch wasn't, David Tyree had the skill set to catch it. Luck isn't a factor in my book.

David Tyree was LUCKY for making a Beckham style catch Hahaha I love the Giants but Tyree SUCKED hahaha

That onside kick by NO was strategy and luck.... Not only that, but Peyton threw a pick six right at the end of that game where he could have driven to win it. When Eli was presented with that situation a few seasons earlier, he got lucky, then caught Plaxico in the end zone.

Tyree did sucked. But I wouldn't call the onside kick luck. If you putting it that way the Giants was lucky to play the Pats (twice). Any other AFC team would've beat yall. But thats not it, its just that yall are the better team when yall play the Pats.
