A question about M.S.N. messenger

Up top where it shows the two people I have a circle with an x in it and cannot get it to sing in ..I s there something I can do or is it a M.S.N problem that will take care of its self

I wouldn't worry about it, msn is playing up dreadfully today. It does this now and then.
