Max is a self-acclaimed bibliomaniac with a deep lust for lewd books. Stranded on an island in the North Sea, he travels across the landscape between the coast and the small villages in the dunes. Back in the day, manic anal-retentive young white middle-class guys roamed roads and backroads of USA, knocking on doors, asking if any old 78 RPM records were stashed in boxes in closets, garages, or storage sheds. Rare blues recordings were treasured.

It's the same story here. Our bibliomaniac is merely one of many (or several, at least) canvassing the coastline for lewd literature to feed their fetishes. One might strike paydirt when a widow points to a crate of super-pervo magazines left (in fair condition) by her late hubby. If another collector shows up then and bids higher, what then? Must the widow be 'consoled'?
