Soooo??? We're all here to "fornicate", BUT....

Just what kind of theme gets you all excited??? I'd like to know!

There are many gifted writers out there, and ideas tossed out by the ton...But just what is your all time, greatest, mostest liked kinda thread???

Come on, come on, don't be shy....give me an example, you never know, someone might read it and "bingo" you get your wish!!!

Knock knock

Ok Tp hun whats the theme here? OOC lounge? Question place? Thread idea circle? lol Clue me in?

Definately a thread idea "circle"....I'm looking for great ideas, from great writers (Like yourself) That can take those ideas to even greater heights!!!!

The OOC's are excellent, but I'd like to concentrate on a few ideas from people, put them into threads and have them "grow"

Interested? Let me know...

:)

I wish I had an idea for ya hun, but I might be drained right now of ideas. but I am good at adding to other's ideas :D

I've been writing in so many threads I am fresh out. I need a wider imagination.

Some threads I tried out that never took off very well but I thought were good ideas were:

Coven- witch thread (didnt do so bad)

Bounty Hunters- self explanitory (doing good aside from ppl leaving it)

Stranded- plane crash victims left alive and on an island (didnt go to well)

hmm

Prisoner- a taken woman held by a man she treated, going ok but a little different that expected.

And with all the threads here it is hard to come up with something new and exciting.

What are your ideas?

Ideas I have!!! Finding the right partner or partners is sometimes the curse!!!

Here's a few that aren't started yet...the rest you can read any old day on the board

=============================================

"Unforgiven" A twisted tale for two, where the woman is visited and revisited for her "crime"

"The Riverboat" A story for a group of six...gamblers who will take it to the very limit and beyond (southern setting)

"Hunted" Another "twisting" story that starts in the 19th century and carries into the current years.

"The bullet" A western tale where a rifle shot brings together a group of people, and the past and present...

Sounds like a bunch of commercials, huh? I can rattle ideas off all day (and half the night), but without partners...I'm just talking to myself.

;) Anyone else?

Dedicated writers are hard to come by. I like all those ideas. Unforgiven would be interesting, more about it?

Thats why many of my threads have died out, dedicated writers who will stick with what they start. It isnt easy to come by anymore.

That seems to be the "hinge" doesn't it? RL draws us all away sometimes...But I've seen so many excellent ideas (not only mine) die quickly, because the writers leave it...and ideas that are fair go incredible distances and become excellent because of writers staying with them.

Anyone else have an idea or two??? There are 74,000 registered names on the lit, I wonder how many are actually active and write here???

My 25¢ worth...

You know I've been looking at "The Bullet" thread for months and "Riverboat"... great premise as I recall. (That one always sounded like a great start for newcomers, remember?)

Been working out a rough draft about a family haunted by a deadly secret. Could go four player.

I'd like to see a revival of an old RP from elsewhere set in Klondike/Yukon. We've been throwing that around for a century or two now. That one leaves room for people to come and go as they like, leaving just a small core of regulars.

A post civil war thread where ghosts seek revenge against the family of the people who tortured them is another one we've bandied about for a while.

I like stories with an historical premise of sorts (period pieces)... such naughtiness in herstory, don't you think? But that aside, I do like PLOT and I like to see an "ending".

I think one main reason that ensemble threads don't last long in some instances is the lack of communication between the players. In my opinion, it helps if everyone is talking about the story and where it's going.

And yes, there are a hundred more ideas where those came from... the guy is brilliant. (Okay.. NOW do I get a raise? :D )

You would think that in the year that I've been here I would have learned by now - never, ever start a thread, Chele! Mine always bomb, so I'm best at finding stories already in existance. Problem is, most threads nowadays are "closed" - makes it difficult to get involved anymore.

Sorry, TP. Got lots of ideas, but only for full length stories. I'll just kick back and see what others come up with.

Well. im only a newbie, so dont know if these have been done already or not... but i'd like to some more horror oriented stories, succubi, possesion, withcraft, curses, ickiness and stickiness and things that are bad for your health...

Kash

Oh, I never stop coming up with thread ideas - tho most bomb, but hey, those that take off take off well...

The only thing I'd disagree with a little is that we're all here to fornicate. I've been in (and even started) basic fornication threads, but they get old real quick. What I like are story threads with the potential for sex. Such things as the couple of romance threads I'm in at the moment - Another Lonely Night about two lonely, confused kids running away together is a prime example - nothing more sexual than a kiss yet and its intense (thanks DeliciousMaiden if you read this thread).

I also tend to like plots which I can understand. Part of the reason I'm only following up on Banshee when necessary is because, while it is an excellent idea, I'm curently a little confused as to what is expected of the various roles. Without an ability to define my character, I can't get into character. That's not an insult to you, btw, I think it's ME who's having a problem understanding IT in this case, not IT which is difficult to understand. However, contrast this with some old threads such as Hawkes of the Sea and Schools for New Mutants, or indeed SweetP and AR's Whisper Manor, and I can say that a well-coordinated, controlled setting works really well.

Now, on to specifics.

Superheroes: Yeah, I like supers. In theory I'm in two at the moment. One is mine, but will probably be slow as its mostly just a double-entendre showdown set in a supers setting. Funny, but not that intense. The other is Superheroes, but I may withdraw from this. During finals week, most heroes and villains have ended up facing one another and I feel like the char I built was a mistake, doesn't fit in. So a new supers thread would be good to be in from the start.

Pirates: Whether space pirates or regular, these threads have a lot of scope for fun, for playing either a captive or a rogue. Lots of scope for character development and for sexuality when wanted.

Horror: Again, a good genre offering itself to sex and character. I'm running one atm, and enjoying it.

Western: Haven't really been in a western thread much, but various heroines of the frontier come to mind whenever I think about it. Very tasty idea.

And I could go on, but in the end the thing that I think matters most is understandability of a good plot to the players.

I personally love the witches idea, as I have always been facinated with them. I saw the Coven, and I haven't made a thread like that because I didn't wanna be a copycat.

Also, love stories would be nice to read.....

I have to agree with BadForm. I like the character developement. Not to say that the sex is bad, but it is a lot nicer to have character too..

I will make another Coven (hence the part II part of it) This time with indepth stuff. Want to join, just pop in. Though I will wait awhile before posting a new one. Perhaps a week, then try again.

another note: love plot and character's more than sex. but im weird and I love BF's Pirate idea too, would be a blast.

lol in a witch thread? hmm want a curse placed on you or something?

No, in the witch I will be a witch, but in the Pirate I will be unwilling

You? Unwilling? I dunno... CAN you? (runs and hides saying "Sorry, Mistress, I didn't mean it...")

I don't know actually, I have to agree with 'Chele, sometimes what seem like good ideas bomb whilst others which don't seem to sky rocket.

Ideas that have occured to me which may or may not have been done include Alice in Pornoland, and Sperminator (a thread based loosely on the old Terminator films were the bad boy cyborg's mission isn't to kill Sarah Connors but impregnate her and any other females it meets on the way. Pretty sad really.

Others I am considering have a more historical theme so I won't divulge those yet cause they are still possibilties

I guess, for me, the only purely sexy thread that interests me now is game-playing ones. Eg, Truth or Dare, Strip Chess and similar. Gives a random element to what is happening that spices it up from pure sexual writing. I tend to need that because, in the end, there's only so many ways you can describe ANY action, even sex.

I think I agree with you to some extent Badform, many thread here really just amount to drawn out tales many of them could easily be just stories as opposed to ongoing adventures.

The truth or dare thing, well yes when I was 12 or so I guess that was sort of risque. I don't actually recall playing it at college ever, we were more interested in the guys, clubbing and having fun, then sitting around as giggling girly teens, and I don't recall any of the guys I dated ever admitting to playing truth or dare either LOL.

There is a limit to what can occur during the sexual parts of a thread but the build ups and foreplay can vary immensely. Situations, teasing, leading on. Where it is done all play a part in erotica. In someways the erotica can be the build up as opposed to the climax it is then really only limited by the imagination of the writer.

Do women always have to climax, I suppose in the fantasy world every man or woman is the perfect lover. Again there is the distinction between role playing and fantasy. Role playing doesn't automatically assume fantasy roles. It's just playing the role of a fictional character, it can be a real as real life, sometimes I think that is forgotten too.

Now, while I know that game-sex is not everyones cup of tea by a long way, I would have to say that a good game of truth or dare (or any other game) for adults is not simply giggling over stupid stuff. Frankly it becomes dare or dare and the dares are all sexual. However, there are other games that can be played the same way - strip games from poker thru chess all end up granting power and control in a sexual sitation you can't predict to a partner, then there's fantasy for lovers and even an adult version of monopoly whose name I can't recall... Hardly games for 12 year olds... ;)

Could not have said this any better! After all, exactly how many times can you write describing a blow job before it becomes something you can write almost without thinking about?

I think the true challenge and fun is attempting to tackle such things as developing a character that you pour yourself into, that can almost become you. And then placing that character into a situation where the tension builds and builds and builds until both you and the readers feel they are going to explode!

Yeah, I like that.

I think we're all (at least those writing here) agreed on that aspect at least. Some here seem to just post short pure-sex posts which on reading appear to have little thought, effort or interest. But the best threads are always (in my experience) those where the sex is almost secondary to the roleplay.
