I have a pet peeve that comes up all the time in erotica.
I am bothered by the way almost everyone uses "cum" to designate ejaculation and its product. If you actually research the word, that is incorrect. The correct spelling in that instance is the common one: "come."
"Cum" is Latin meaning "with." Most dictionaries limit their definitions of "cum" to this. In unabridged English dictionaries, however, you will find the definition of "come" to include something along the lines of "slang/vulgar term for semen."
Admittedly, some recent dictionaries have added to the definition of "cum" a reference to the above definition of "come," but it is clear even from this that "come" is the preferred spelling.
This is my own call for better English in our erotica. I suggest and request that everyone use the preferred spelling, "come."
Thank you.
