It's been a while since I've been active on this board but as the tides of the heart ebb and flow I thought perhaps now might be a good time to investigate desire once more.
As many of us I'm sure can attest, this past year has been deeply isolating and we've all suffered loss, even if it's just the loss of community. I for one have had my share of ups and downs, thrill and heartbreaks, even while locked down in place. And now, as the earth warms again, I find myself hoping to meet someone new.
What I'm looking for: a connection. In broad summary, a fun new friend who feels like someone with whom I could forge a real sense of amitié. I'm posting this on a sexuality forum so obviously sex and flirtation are things I'm also interested in, but I think I'm moving past the deadening pattern of the near-immediate exchange of sexual fantasies, a few virtual tryst and then permanent ghosting I've experienced in the past. I'd like a friend, with whom I can also discuss sex and sexuality.
A bit about me: I'm 40m, about 80% straight, 5'8, 180, olive complexion, dark hair and eyes, salt and pepper beard. Attractive, fit, intelligent, playful, funny. I'm a writer and teacher and so words and stories are big for me.
I'm more interested in meeting female-identifying than male-identifying individuals at this point, though I'm not feeling overly discriminatory. On purely physical terms I do have a strong predilection for curvy/full figured female bodies, though I try my best not to objectify or fetishize those bodies. I'm a lover of intelligence, humor and a sense of openness and play. An interest in movies and stories in general is a big plus, as well as hopefully overlapping views in terms of (small p) political values.
I do have a primary partner but room to explore, so in all truth I'm not even necessarily thinking about a full on romantic connection, although I suppose I am a romantic person and can't rule that idea out. I live in Toronto (Ontario, Canada, The Earth, The Universe) so I am curious anyone who might live nearby, though initially more for the thrill of proximity than any intent to transition to IRL any time soon.
