A (Not so) Epic Quest

So in Monster Hunter Rise after hours of fighting and hunting hordes of monsters that are besieging a town, you find out the cause: an ancient dragon made a mating call and it spooked all the lesser monsters so their assault was just them running and the town was in the way.

Blue Stinger: Survival Horror where you need to get an alien being to confront a meteor alien that has infected an oil rig…the confrontation is them fucking: this was just an elaborate mating ritual.

So story ideas where it seems there’s an epic threat, tons of drama…but really someone is just trying to or needs to get laid.

For example:

The prophecy told of a god of destruction descending upon the earth. Its followers cheer his arrival and guard the way to his obsidian fortress. With guile and power, the party makes its way to the ritual site as the avatar of the god of destruction ascends to demigod status and the priestess…takes her clothes off. Turns out her god and the god of destruction do this every few millennia. They just take on some mortal avatars and fuck each other’s brains out.
