Name: Lara Dreamheart
Nickname: Shiny
Age: 26
Appearance: http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r108/elvenchild03/1163175232459yg0.png
Personality: Lara is, for the most, a very friendly person. She loves her family, friends, and of course her adoring fans. She tends to be polite to strangers but she has this thing with surprises... she hates them. No one knows why but she does. Surprise gifts are one thing, but such things like 'Surprise... you've got mail' is another.

Tapping her foot against the floor, Lara recited a few songs in her head that she would be performing in about ten or so minutes to a sell-out crowd of a few hundred. The stage hands were setting up the instruments for the rest of her band, but all she needed was her voice and her memory. Her looks helped a little. Ok... they helped a lot. From where she was sitting she could hear the fans chanting a few of their favorite songs, and it always brought a smile to her face.

"Hey." a familiar voice called out to her, and glancing up she looked at her manager who was standing by a few suited business men and a young male who was with them. Her golden tail moved back and forth as she walked over to where they were standing, a water bottle in one hand a few music sheets in the other.

"Hey." she responded in like fashion, her eyes shifting from her manager, to the security personnel, and finally on Dan. "What's up?" she asked.

"Lara, this is Dan. He's the uh, winner of the contest we held a few weeks back."

"Oh, hi." she said, her eyes still focused on her manager as he explained the situation.

"Well, spend a few minutes talking with him, go out and perform, and then you two have the night off. Sound good?"

"Night off?" she asked, a little puzzled.

"Yeah. Look, I know you were just supposed to entertain him for a bit after the show, but we figured you could use a break and besides, it's good publicity. So after the show just go get a bite to eat or something."

Lara looked at Dan and then back at Mark, her manager.

"You're kidding, right? We can't go out on a date. No offense, but you're not my type." she said, offering Dan an apology. He didn't even have a tail for crying out loud.

"Well the show's about to start soon and you don't have much of a choice. We'll talk about this later. Have fun and break a leg." Mark said before moving off to fill out more forms with security, leaving her, Dan, and a few crew members alone behind the curtains.

"Hrmph." she said before shrugging her shoulders. She was normally in a cheerful mood but she hated surprises. At any rate she looked at Dan as they stood there.

"So. Your name's Dan, right?" she asked.

Dan had been very surprised when a limo pulled up out front. He had been even more surprised that it had been for him. He blinked in confusion, then was pushed back into his bedroom by his sister, who told him to get dressed up. Numbly, he had done so, and ended up at a concert. More precisely, backstage at a concert of one of his favorite pop stars. He smiled weakly when he was introduced, then looked away when he heard her speak. He sighed inwardly, regretting entering the contest in the first place. When he heard the words 'break a leg', he smiled in spite of himself. "You know, I never have understood that saying. As a general rule, if you say something like that, it's going to happen."

He shook his head, then realized she was talking to him. He blushed, looking embarassed, then nodded. "Yeah, I'm Dan. Sorry about this, I didn't expect to win anyways. You...don't have to go through with this, if you don't want. I'd understand. Anyways, you'd better get on stage, before they riot." He looked around for a spot to sit down in. Then he looked at her again. "And it was an honor to meet you. Good fortune."

"It's fine. No one ever thinks that their big break will come, that some other fan will win but well... here you are. Anyways yeah I've got to do the show in a couple of minutes, but um..." Lara started to say as she looked around, her voice trailing off.

"I think they have some seats reserved for you in the front, unless you want to chill Where you are. Either way I've got to get going." she said with a smile. Getting the cue from a stage handler, she waved to Dan and then pushed her way out into the lights.

Dan blinked, then nodded, and sat down on a chair nearby. He didn't really want to be seen at the concert, let alone as a winner. Still, he could easily watch the show from where he was. In fact, he had a much better view. He wondered what he'd do now. He couldn't make her go through with the date, not after what had happened, and the fact that she wasn't really interested in the first place in it. He sighed, and shook his head, then just sat back and enjoyed the concert.
