A new taboo?

I'm not a fortune teller, and I can't see the future, but I'm pretty sure that this Wuhan Virus event is going to be easily recognized for a long time coming. I think the 'social distancing' thing will probably be at least somewhat practiced by people when they can for a while, so including it in stories will likely be a nice way to introduce some plot basis.

What with social distancing about to become a new way of living, will we start to see a new taboo coming through in writing? Where touching is forbidden or frowned upon?

For those who write contemporary content, is anyone planning to write the "new norm?" Or will distancing be like condoms, and largely ignored?

Like finally people will want to touch and fuck somebody with a ten foot pole?

I have an incest story coming out soon about a brother and sister who wound up together because they were self-isolating together. I wrestled with mentioning the reason why they were alone together and decided it didn't really matter for a short piece of stroke fiction.

I’m half-way through a tale. How do you write an erotic romance with not-yet lovers isolated in different buildings? I think I’ve cracked it, but it’s definitely a challenging change from ‘Insert Tab A into Slot B’.

Go back a post and watch the video I posted. That's exactly what got solved. In a heart warming way.

I've just posted a Covid-19 story and the first two comments are polarised. I'm a dickwad for exploiting people dying, apparently, while the other guy loved it and hopes the protagonists will find a way to be safe. Predictable responses, both of them.
