Greetings ladies and gents, and fellow poets.

I would like to firstly say a thankyou to everyone who has replied to my poems through emails or comments.

I started as a poet, as a child, and have throughout my years refined my poetry, but never straying from what I am about. As a writer I have always written from my heart and will continue to do so. It is important for me to write for it is my outlet where I can pour out my feelings and emotions and tell the reader in words of how I feel.

I would love more feedback of my poems and stories and look forward to replies out of this posting. Pls check out my poems on this site

Gospel of Truth II

If one has knowledge, he receives what is his own, and draws it to himself.....Whoever is to have knowledge in this way knows where he comes from, and where he is going.

I write poetry to experience the thrill of the reader. The vicarious energy that they leave with you as they read words you yourself wrote down on paper or screen for them to peruse.

It is a rush to the point where it is addicting. I have been writing for over a decade now and haven't even begun to tire of it.

Hi PVodogaz (hereafter known by me as PV, the rest is too much to write).

PV, I don't know why I write. It's something I do, like; breathing, seeing or feeling. Those are all autonomous functions and out of my concious control, so too, is the inspiration behind my words. If I am moved to write, I do.

I try to hone my skill though, to make the blade of my writing effective and sharp. I believe by doing so, I show respect for the work of others as they try to impart their knowledge or voice their feelings through this craft.

I have resolved to write something everyday this year as an exercise towards productivity. None of it may be fit to share, but that is for time, not me, to tell.

Wordily,

Hello, PV.
I think - because I am an amateur artist - I tend to paint with words when I write. Occasionally I write for release but won't expose others to those efforts. I am drawn to poems of a similar nature.
As an effort to stretch I make myself try form poetry but is not my favourite to write or consume.

A responce

Thankyou all for the replies. Let me first start by asking you all to call me Petar =), thats my first name.

I red the responces and could relate to each one, I write for every reason..but none more importantly then, putting what is important to me down on paper.

Writing is a art, but anybody can write, in any context, in any image he or she see's fit. Beauty can be told through a story, a poem, a paragraph or even a posting. Poetry is my medium of writing, as it always will remain I feel.

So keep the replies happening and hope to get to know you all more. Feel free to drop me messages or responces.

Why are so many so afraid of showing affection? Love often takes the form of a few kind, well-timed words, and these can provide infinitely more pleasure than any purchased gift or present.

"VodoGaz" is not that bad. Just remember that "voda" is "water", and "gaz" is "gas". Just think about Petar Utilities and the rest is easy.

Yes, "voda" has "a" at the end, but when you connect it in the name of a utility company with another word then it is "vodo", with the last letter "o", "vodo-something".

Hiyah Petar, and let me add my Welcome to the pile. :)

For me, poerty is not really a necissity in life. Expressing myself is though, but I do that through so many other channels too. Music, prose, photography, stageplays, acting and really really bad attempts at illustration and other visual arts. I really didn't consider writing poems a means of expression on a regular basis until I met Linbido, my very own poet chick.

Now I write for two reasons. It's a very direct way of expression as opposed to fiction or music, which says the same things, but music does it very abstract, and stories and plays through the eyes of events and characters.

I also love language and to explore, toss it around and bend it to my will.

That's also probably why I'm a little addicted to anagrams. :)

Its me again! =)

Ty Jawa for that little analogy of my name...smiling...now lets try with my full name Petar Gilderic Reccesuinth Vodogaz, my heritage is both Slavic and Visigothic.
 yep and yes I think of myself as a utility...just working on which utility I should be yet.

Icing Thankyou for your welcome and any friend of Linbido is my friend :rose:

To me writing in any form must follow this simple yet powerfully effective modus operandi;

Things do change. People change, places change, the time and age we live in, is forever changing. In all reality nothing changes, we can only move with the changes. We live for the moments of change, day by day, so therefore we are constantly changing, yet deep down within us we never really change nor there are changes.

The words I write consume me, they take over my soul and my body, they are like my hands reaching out to touch another (and the responces to my poems have shown that).

-------------------

Eyes are the windows to the splendid soul. The soul is the holder of all your dreams and is intended to be the recorder of those dreams, when they are realised.

Cheers,

Petar

why?

Hi Petar, I would say welcome, but that seems a little odd since we came in at practically the same time, so instead I will just hold the door for you so you can come out of the cold....

I write because I have always written.

I think in metaphor, in pictures

It pleases my brain to be able to make my thoughts into something concrete, something tangible, something I can crumble up or send or even chew on if I chose to do so.

If I do not write I begin to turn into someone I do not like.

There are things inside of me that I would never realize if I did not write poetry, things I would die having hidden.

I am finding that writers are my people. My peoples. I write so I can be who I am, which is not such a bad person to be afterall.

How fortunate to have such a wonderful group to play with here.

Thankyou Anna for your welcome and your posting.

I can relate to your comment of how you write in pictures. It is similar to what I follow, I write in images that are displayed through each word, letter and sentence.
I am what I write and my words are me expressed on paper. Everything people write must lead to someone or something. It is this that communicates our messages to the readers.

ODYSSEY

Good evening, this is the Voice of Enigma,
Sit down, relax and close your eyes
Turn off the lights, sit back and enjoy.

Turn around, child, turn around
Do not be afraid to feel
Do not fear to love or show mercy
Do not pity the weak or lame
Love the strong and the one's who lie.

Turn around, friend, turn around
Follow the roundabout of love
Do not cry, tears wiped clean
Smile, and show happiness
Sadeness is the first step to happiness.

I am here and you are there
This is our odyssey
The Odyssey of Life!

Turn around, my love, turn around
Follow love, follow truth
Do not follow lies and hate.

Cheers

Petar

I write to get laid. Since I suck at writing, it doesn't happen very often....:D

Well of course everyone has a different reason for writing. For me personally, probably the biggest reason I post anything here is just for a small mental distraction. It's nice to be able to write a poem or a story and post it on a site like this and have the ability to get feedback.

You really can't do that when you are mired in a novel. So for me, literotica is a nice way to take a break from slogging through my own revisions, through chapter after chapter of a very long story.

I mean shoot. You can sit down and write a three or twenty page story and have it posted and get feedback here in like less than a week. I don't know about anyone else, but trying to write a novel is a little secluded. You can't have loads of people commenting on every chapter as you write it, or as you revise it.
So this is just a nice outlet for me.
just my 2 cents though.

Thankyou Rainyguy

You struck a deep seated chord within me Rainy. Thankyou for your response. I feel the same way you do with writing.

I write poetry and short stories because I love too and it's a part of who I am as a person.
Its a release from a long day at work, or a release from the reality of life.
Writing in any form is a love of mine. To draw feedback from people is what i also enjoy. When it is constructive it feeds my passion and desire to write more.

It is my lever to my soul

Regards

Petar
