A new medium for me ...

Great work, though on my monitor it comes out way way dark. BUt I do see what you mean about shadows and contrast. If you can master that element you have a great talent to use.

And you have excellent taste in models too ;)

I've gotten that a bit about the darkness on the monitors. I'm seeing the images perfectly so I'm not positive of the cause other than the brightness or contrast settings on the monitors of other people being off a bit.

Just the same I'll be getting some of these put to film and framed. There's a really cool series in here of the ones with my subject in these shadows with just the soft highlights of her skin giving a glow. With a lot of photography people can easily stand back and see the picture for what it is. Once on hard copy I believe these will invite the viewer to come in closer, be more intimate with the image.

WOW!

These are stunningl!! O_O :rose: :rose: :rose:

I'm having trouble seeing the 2nd and 3rd pics, but the 1st and 4th are just gorgeous. I think you have loads of untapped talent, and I'm so anxious to see more!

When I scrolled down to to 1st picture, my jaw dropped. Extraordinary!

Thank you, guys. You're being very kind.

Again, I do apologize for the dark ones. I'm seeing them just fine, but I did purposely shoot those to be dark because of what I wanted from them when they're put on photographic paper and framed. I'll mess with them and see if I can't brighten them up for everyone.

Very nice. She'd inspire me, too. Try two lights, placed from either side a bit. You get a sculptural thing. Adjust the light placement for the pose. Beautiful. And you still have the strong shadow thing going on.

Enhanced for brightness ...

Edited due to unfortunate circumstances ...

I kinda like strong shadow, but the sculptural effect of two lights really rocks big.

I had no heartache with the un-enhanced ones. You are fortunate to have such an opportunity. You also have an eye for form. You strip detail in favor of form in your other work. I know you'll think about this and develop rapidly.

Thanks, big guy. You're a trusted Literotican and I'm very happy to have your opinions on this. Not to say that I'm not happy for all the other opinions ... you know what I mean ...

Off to eat dinner ...

Hey you! Nice work!

Infact, very very nice work!

I have a few shots that I scooped from a site, I cant remember where I got them, I think they may have the artists copyright on them still. Ill have to look them up and send them to you, to show you how close your ideas were to his work.

Fantastic, keep up the great work!
Miss you!
