Okay, okay, okay, I know this is the Story Ideas board since I drill that into a lot of people's heads, but I have an idea for a new story Topic. I was curious to see if it's a popular idea or not. I, personally, think it could hold its own as a category.

So, what do you all think about "Pregnancy & Lactation" as its own separate category on the Story's main page?

As a separate category? Well that way lies the road to zillions of categories. For example "Novels & Novellas" <should> be split according to all the other categories. "Non-Consent" <should> be split into "Straight" and "Non-Straight", "Non-Human" <should> be split into "Science Fiction", "Spirit World" and "Animal Magic", and so forth.

Then what about stories which fit more than one category? Many, many stories could equally well be in one or more categories; for example Tiggs' A Romp in the 100 Acre Woods is in "Non-human", but could just as well be in "Romance", or "Animal Magic", or "Fantasy", or even "Celebrity".

On balance I think Literotica strikes a good balance between having no categories and listing keywords in headers (which is a pain deciding which keywords to put in or leave out, and makes looking at lists a slow and resource consuming process) and having large numbers of categories.

I would vote for the staus quo.

I think you have a good idea. A quick search of Lit stories reveals the following: pregnancy - 38 stories, lactation - 25 stories, impregnation - 19 stories.

Seems to me, there are enough stories currently posted to form the basis of a new category. Author interest would be gained if this new category was created.

Right now, these current story posts are scattered into many categories - everywhere from "Fetish" to "Non-Human".

You are the most experienced here at Lit., Tiggs. Make your case in an email to Laurel. See what she thinks.

If there're enough <which there are> stories involving those fetishes, then I fully agree. One of the reasons I agree is that I don't particularly like these fetishes, and so am a little put off when I come across them. I would love if it was easier on Lit to find stuff you liked easier, and avoid stuff that you didn't like...however, I also know that if we start breaking everything off into new categories, soon we'll have fifty million, so I don't know if we ought to break these off.

there are other archives that have a section for these, and they are big sections. I see more of these stories than i see of lactation/pregnancy put together.

Maybe it's been overdone...

I want to read a new story about a corrupt cop. Maybe a sherrif. I've read a million before, but I like them, and I would like to see more. I was thinking, though, that it's always the male cop taking advantage of a female...anyone else but me want to see a corrupt female cop? Maybe she picks up a guy with a clean record for doing drugs. He was just experimenting and happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. She takes him back to the station, a small town place where they're pretty much alone, handcuffs him with his back against the bars, and goes down on him. Then she handcuffs him to the bed and fucks him there. Later, an officer comes to relieve her and take over for the evening. She and the officer have been involved intimately, and she directs him to get nasty with the prisoner.
