I have a cat, Magi, who has this strange habit. He likes to lick screens. That's right, he licks window screens. If we drag him away he fights away from us and goes right back to the screen.

If left alone he licks the screen for about ten minutes before finding some place to curl up and sleep.

Could it be he has discovered a new fetish?

This doesn't sound like it's real good for his tongue. Maybe a neurosis?

Both of mine chew plastic. That crinkly cellophane kind. They rummage around in the wastebasket or floor until they find some. They chew with a glazed look in their eyes.

I have a couple of them that do this. It's both funny and annoying.

Sounds like he has an itchy tongue.

I used to lick mirrors as a kid

One of our kitties used to lick the burners of the stove. And plastic grocery bags.
I kept waiting for the burner to be on one of those times, lol.

ETA: One of my stepmom's cats has a foot fetish. He'll be in hiding, and when you get your shoes off, he licks your feet. It freaks my stepmom out and she constantly runs around with socks on, lol.

Cat, all things aside - ask your vet. There could be something on that screen that may or may not harm him.

As for mine, they like paper - laying on it. Weird.
