A couple adopted a daughter of their best friends after the friends died in an accident. They raise her... n now they want to have their own child... but couldn't due to medical issue...could they use their friend daughter ? How should they convince her....
There are many ways... but I m confused...

Sorry to digress, OP, but this raises a matter which has been talked about, around, upside down and inside out... without my ever really knowing the answer.

I don't post my stuff on Lit. but, in respect of those who do, what exactly is the site's attitude to the mention of a teenager in a story whose age is not mentioned?

Does a writer have a submission returned with an injunction to make age explicitly clear (which would of course change the text of the story to whatever extent)? Or, is the benefit of doubt given, i.e. the 18 thing is simply assumed?

Happy to start a separate thread on this if necessary.

So the short version is you don’t have to explicitly state someone is 18…BUT if you’re going to mention things that would put that into question you better make it clear they are of age. Like if a girl is acting very childlike or is a sophomore in high school, you better have an explanation and state very clearly that they are 18 and have been held back

Now back to OP’s post:

So the how can be a number of ways though there is going to always be a skeevy element to that kind of a story. This isn’t the type of story I normally like so take my reccs with a pinch of salt.

1. Dark non/con: I bring this one up because I see this story either copy/pasted in lit or it’s the same author posting the same story under different names. In any case, it does meet the criteria, only difference is its mom’s daughter and dad’s stepdaughter. Effectively in that story, career daughter comes home for a visit and mom and stepdad arrange for her to see a gynecologist who inseminates her with sperm from her stepdad, stepbrother and grandad, before they then take her back to be trained as a sex slave. I bring that story up cause it fits your criteria as mom in that one wants to have another child, can’t, but career oriented daughter doesn’t want one.

2. So there’s always going to be a matter of manipulation so it’s kind of hard to make anything fully consensual. I’d say probably your best bet would be to have the couple be really young (early 20s) and have the friend be older (30s maybe even 40s). That way adopted daughter can be in her teens or close to them, so she’s only raised by them for a handful of years. She really likes them and maybe even had a crush on her adopted dad, so coupled with her being nervous about making it on her own, she’s actually open to the idea.

With an older adoption it’s a bit less (though still quite) skeevy. In terms of how they make the pitch: they offer to pay for college a car, and she can keep living with them rent free, as opposed to making it on her own.


3. Now this idea just came to me and I think it would allow for a lighter story. Maybe wife still has good eggs, she just can’t survive a pregnancy or she always miscarries. Adopted daughter could be a surrogate. She loves her adopted parents so she wants to help out. However, she didn’t realize how it would affect her social life being a college student or recent graduate who is pregnant. It’s especially hard to find dates and the pregnancy is making her horny so either adopted parents offer to help or she demands sex from them

I like this angle the most. Gone with the dark shit, let be optimistic. I like that she's very horny than pregnant, and the couple has to do a lot of sex with her to keep her satisfied.

She's not their biological daughter so impregnating her shouldn't really be problematic. But - I don't think they should "use" her to get pregnant.

I think it should be a situation where they are relatively young themselves. She's close to both of them, has finished college and is looking for a guy to settle down with. She realizes the best man she knows his her adoptive father. She also knows from living in the house that her adoptive parents have a sex drive mismatch where mom only wants sex twice a week and dad wants it everyday. He's heard them fight about it and even argue about opening up their marriage. Wife is offering it and husband is reluctant because of the potential damage involved.

She herself begins wearing skimpier clothing around the house to entice Dad and eventually tells Mom that SHE is willing to take care of Dad's sexual needs and happy to do so. That she actually feels that he's the best man she knows and would have no problem settling down....at home...with them.

They work together to seduce Dad and live happily ever after, new baby and all.
